  • Am I asking too much? Is it going to work?

So I've been seeing this girl for the past 6 months, we are engaged, and plan to get married next January. We met each other through our exs, even though we were still with them at the time. Me and my ex are going through a divorce that will be final this month. We split bc I wasnt happy, and the same on her part. She has a chil with the ex, they still talk day to day, about the child, and about alot of nonsense/personal stuff, like day to day life. I've told her over and over I feel like it's too soon for yall to talk like that, one, it puts a strain on us, and two it's so soon since your split. I've expressed this numerous times, mainly bc he is a a** and likes to say alot of negative comments or reminis on past memories on their relationship. I finally came to a point and told her today, yall need to stop, if you value our relationship and want us to work then you need to stop, not forever but for now until the dust settles. She has a child with another guy and I've fine with the way they talk because it's been so long since they split. Am I over reacting? He tends to butt in to our relationship. Yea, I said somethings to my ex I shouldn't have mainly because I felt sorry for her and helped her move some stuff. My ex sent all the texts to him and he showed them to the girl I'm with now, needless to say that was a big fight. I don't want to control anyone or tell them what to do, but I feel like if they can't stop talking about their personal life for now and only talk about the child, then we are not going to work, it puts a strain on our relationship, apparently more my side than hers. When I told her if she wants us to work then she'll make the right decision and asked if she was gonna think about what I said she kinda looked at me and said, Yea, but I'm going to do what I want. I don't want to be with someone that can't make a sacrifice for us, I'm not asking you to never speak to him again, I said give it a few months, take a little time since yall split, let him move on, bc I know he still has feelings and wants her back and I've talked to him on certain issues, and he always gets deffensive and makes it out like everyone is out to get him and I'm just trying to start something.

  • I'm not happy with a inmates sentence after he pled guilty what can I do?

I was assaulted by a inmate Sept 09 the inmate just finally went to court today. The solicitor called me today and left a message when I called back she said he had plead guilty and received 9 months. Honestly I'm pissed about the sentence because he was being charged with Assault & Battery w/ Intent to kill and Assault on a correctional facility employee. Which combined carry up to 25 years... Also I'm pissed I was not notified of the hearing/court because I had requested to be notified. Can I talk with the solicitor and see about getting something done with this? I know the guilty party and appeal a verdict, can I appeal it? Everyone I talk to says "9 months! WTF!)

Thanks in advance for your help.... Also if it helps I'm in the state of SC

  • Small business tax return? How to do them? et.c?

My wife started a small business in August. It's a art/craft shop that has about 20 artists (co-op). Just curious how the business return process is? Do I need to do it separate from our regular return? When do we have to have it done by, etc.? I'm not really worried about paying anything because it's prolly only brought in under $1000 net profit. Take out rent, supplies, fixtures, etc. Can we put part of our home rent, utilites, internet since they are all part of the business since most of the stuff is made at home? I've never done a return like this so I'm pretty confused on how it works.... I'd rather not spend a bunch to get a pro to do it when there's not much to show for...

  • Do you automatically get something for being in a wreck?

My wife and I were in a wreck 8-27-10 and she had some pain in neck/back a few days after but refused to go to the dr (women=hard headed). It wasnt our fault.. The car behind us was rearended and they rearended us and we rearended someone else... Our car has been 1/2 way fixed... They still have 19 things to fix (both problems thats on the body shop and things the insurance needs to cover for hidden damage). We had to pick it up because the insurance didnt want to pay for the rental anymore because the body shop said it was ready.. I found the 19 other problems later... I dont think I have signed off on the car being completed as far as I know.. The only thing I signed was showing where I picked it up.. But I'm just curious if you will automatically get something for being in a accident? I was in a wreck about 5 years ago that wasnt my fault and it was my parents car they bought for me that was totaled and they were paid for the car and I got $1000 for driving and I had a cut on my finger and my buddy riding with me got $500 for just being in the car... Any help is appreciated.. I want to get my lawyer involved because I feel like I'm getting jerked around my the body shop but I dont want to have to pay them.. The main reason I want some $$ out the deal is because I know the cars worth less now and in the state of SC they don't have to pay deminished value...

    Thanks

  • GFI outlet keeps tripping... Whats wrong?

I had someone redo a bathroom for me and I'm trying to see if I can figure this out before I call and bother them.. They installed 4 outlets and a switch by my vanity... The switch has a outlet that is a gfi that is ran to the other 3 outlets that then feeds a bath fan/light and a overhead ceiling fan/light, 2 more outlets and 1 closet light all of this was ran on new wire to a 20amp breaker... But the gfi is always tripping when you plug stuff in... Is there a problem with the gfi... Too much stuff on one gfi or need a bigger breaker? I was thinking about just putting in a 30amp gfi breaker and hoping everything would be ok... It'll trip when theres only 1 light with 2 bulbs turned on and 1 thing plugged in...

    Thanks

  • Can I open a lawsuit for being hurt at work? Prison....?

I was hurt at the prison I work at last September.. Had a broken colar bone, eye socket fracture/swollen shut eye, nose broken (had surgery for that), bleeding on the brain and a few other small things.. I spoke with my lawyer thats handling my workers comp about a suit and was told I couldn't really do anything unless i was for example discriminated against, etc. I'm not looking to get rich off the situation... I mainly want to open a suit to have some changed made.. I was in a dorm of 135 inmates by myself when there should have been 2 people but we are so understaffed that they get away with it by having a sgt or lt that "floats" to the 2 wings of the unit... Which never happens.. Of the 135 inmates assigned to the wing 3 inmates were out due to lockdown.. I had let about 25 inmates out to get meds then was informed night shift was going to do it (after being told to let them out for meds) and to put them back up.. Not sure what happened after that but I know I was sucker punched and was out from there... The inmate had even stopped after I was out and hurt bad and came back and kicked me some more.. All the while, while some inmates were in their rooms encouraging it and others telling him to stop.. My calls for help on the radio went unanswered.. Someone told me the control room kept trying to radio me to "Call Them"... Give me a sec to tell this guy time out so I can call you on the phone! The person that finally got what we call "First Responders" activated to help me where in a totally different building that I normally work in and heard me call for help.. Like I said I'm not looking to get rich off of it I just want to see some changes... And mind you I've been back to work for about 3 months after being out 9 months and never heard a word ("Hey! How you doing?" etc.) then or now from my big boss... "The Warden"

  • Why is the transmission in my 4runner jerking?

Last weekend after a 200 mile trip the tranny in my 4runner started jerking when you put it in gear and everytime it upshifts. Took it somewhere and they say it needs to be rebuilt. Well I cant afford that yet, but they said they made a few adjustments (which I dk what that is) and I should see a little improvement. Well drove it home and didnt really notice it at all, but it was harder to accelerate (gas petal was stiffer) Now I think it only does it when you put it in gear, and you dont notice it while driving, but now it sounds like the transmission is starting to hum? On the trip there the A/T Oil Temp light came on, so i stopped let it cool and the rest the way it was ok. ANY HELP?
