P Town

Ok. This is a series I remember reading years ago, but I believe I only read one (or two) books in the middle of the series. I'll try to give as much information as I can, though I'm sure it's all going to be disjointed.

The story basically followed a group of friends who, somehow or another, could enter a magical world full of creatures and monsters alike. I'm not sure if the gods of many religions were represented, but I'm positive there were several appearances by Norse gods. In fact, I remember Fenrir being gunned down by a group of people who figured out how to enter this world and brought machine guns and other nasty things with them.

Most of the area seemed to be stuck in medieval technology, so you can imagine how assault weapons went over. I also know that the protagonists reinvented the telegraph in this area.

Other magical creatures included giants (one of which was also shot down shortly before Fenrir died), fairies (which were described as unnaturally fast and had deadly accurate aim with bows), and other such things.

The last problem I remember was that some of the protagonists were starting to "fade away" in the real world and they were all being forced to choose whether or not they wanted to remain in our world or the other.

Hopefully this has been descriptive enough. Best answer to the first person who can remember the name of this series. It's been bothering me for a while that I can't remember any of the book titles.

I'm hitting a little bump while trying to do a lab report for my chem class. We need to calculate the theoretical change in the pH of our buffer.

The buffer was made by mixing 50mL of .1M acetic acid and .09g of sodium acetate. The pH was measured at 3.99

We took a 10mL sample of the buffer and added 2mL of .02M NaOH.

I have no idea how to calculate what the theoretical pH change should be, and I would appreciate any help.

Just the other day my girlfriend broke her laptop screen and I volunteered to help replace it (I'm familiar with the process of actually replacing it, but I'm not sure on a couple of things).

I've already cracked it open to get the model number (B156xw02) and I know it was made by AU Optronics. However, after going to amazon, as well as a few other places, I realized that there were several different kinds of screens sharing that model number. The main difference I spotted between them, besides whether it was a left or right connector, was what I have listed as the actual question. A few were labeled as V.0 or V.6 or some other variation. Will that have any effect on the compatibility between the laptop and the screen? Or will any of them work so long as they're the same model/size?

Like the title says. What were some of the great achievements of the Chinese during the Shang Dynasty?
