Are Americans visiting Britain unwelcome in 2014?

Very worried by over-reporting on the Kardashian family. Angry, infact, that barely a day goes by that the "creepy" Kardashian stare isn't the first thing I see when I turn on my computer to read the news.
Wars threaten. Syria. Iraq. Korea. Russia.
And yet, we have to weed through a sea of leering and creepy, Kardashian faces to get at this news.
It's appalling.
Can we throw the Kardashians off the media stage? Can we boot them off our computer screens and our TV? How would we do it? Letters to the White House. Letters to media executives.
Is anyone else ready to really boot this family out of our media?

I am wondering what the real state of the "Special Relationship" is as of May, 2014? I know that the American government has "snubbed" Britain several times over the past year. As an American, I have been watching with concerned brow.
The British have been our great friends and I worry very much that this brotherhood has been damaged.
It's a very sad thing. Is anyone else concerned? They refer to us pretty badly these days. Call themselves "lap dogs" to the USA and generally say that they don't consider us friends at all.
Have I been reading of just a bitter few, or is this the consensus across Britain? Does anyone know?
1 AnswerGovernment7 years agoDoes Britain still like America as of 2014?
I am American, and have been watching with a bit of anguish the rift happening between the USA and UK under the Obama administration. Most of us DESPISE how he has treated our family, the British, and worry if our "brotherhood" has been damaged beyond repair?
With Obama retiring in two years, and with a new President (God willing) who treasures Britain as much as we do, do you think we will still be.."okay" in the future?
This bothers me a great deal and I want to know what Brits - and Americans - think of what has happened and looking to the future, what do we see?
