For anyone with Wyse Terminal (WinTerm) experience: I'm looking to install TinyCore on a WinTerm 823x model and would appreciate any assistance as a head start. Thanks!
2 AnswersSoftware8 years agoHow can I legally protect my 3 year old son?
I have a three year old who I love more than life. His mother (two years ago this past June) was caught in an affair and sent "packing." Thanks to local law, the mother automatically gets custody no matter if she's a crack-head, etc. (nobody bothers asking - they all just assume) since we were never married. If it weren't for the excessive details, I probably wouldn't live in fear but I can't seem to find options:
1. The mother's house... constantly a pig-stye, no child protection (doors, cupboards, you name it - nothing), pill bottles where little hands find them, cat feces in his bed, insect infestation problems down to continuous trips to the E.R. for respiratory infections for everyone living there.
2. The mother's "fling"... when the affair was first found out about, I did a background on the boyfriend. He was JUST LET LOOSE FROM PRISON after being put away for eight years FOR PUTTING HIS OWN FIVE MONTH OLD BABY IN THE HOSPITAL (parental abuse doesn't even come close - read for yourself!)

3. The mother's playing the Welfare card - she CAN work... just refuses to. Due to her gender, this seems to be an acceptable way of life via the "System."
4. The judge in question has TAKEN SIDES on record. From giving one-sided legal advice to a defendant to outrageous contempt charges (not to mention my attorney gave me a "good luck with that" speech, claiming "the judge hates men..." which may or may not be true, but from what I've seen it seems to be!)
For example, my son's mother was constantly calling day in and day out, literally dozens of times per day (mostly to pry, I'm guessing, though constantly asking for material things, moneys, etc.) - in the first hearing I motioned that this abusiveness be limited to one phone call per day. It was so ordered. Shortly thereafter I'm charged with contempt because at any given time of day (even during work hours or 2am - it didn't matter!) if I wasn't home or awake to answer her "One Call" and after she blatantly LIED in the court room about the topic (she didn't always heed the ONE part of the order which phone records had proven) I was found GUILTY???
Long story, short... There's a current/continuing order in place for visitation (I get my son 4 days a week, her three days) which was downgraded from a complete sole-custody filing which I was point-blank told was a waste of time as FATHERS don't GET sole custody unless the mother's either dead or in jail - and even then there's no guarantee. The safety, health, well-being and future of my little boy depends on this (in ANY other courtroom I'd likely have a chance it seems, but considering there's only ONE judge/magistrate in the area, there doesn't seem to be such a thing a fairness, equality or justice.)
ANY ideas, suggestions, thoughts and for my son Michael's sake, prayers are extremely welcome. I've pretty much been run through the mill financially after spending on costs, Ad Litem, Psyche reviews, etc. and I'm truly out of ideas.
