I am a student in the UK and I am renting a room that is being sublet by the one who rents it. I am going away this Christmas for two weeks and I used to pay weekly. Do I need to pay for the two weeks that I am going to be away? The owner sais that I rent the space besides if I live in it and that as long as my stuff is inside I need to pay. She also states that if I don't pay for the time I need to take my stuff out even though I am renting it for the rest of the study year. Do I have to pay for the time I am not in the house? If you could give me some links to some official information that would be greatly appreciated.

The situation is a bit complicated. It was a love at first sight for both but we were both afraid. We were "friends" but not very close and in a very awkward relationship. After 3 years I found out about her feelings from a third person (and I think she found out as well). The problem is that now I study in the UK and she studies in Greece. I know that she never had a boyfriend and I never had a girlfriend either. The main problem is that now that I came back for vacation our common friend tells me that she still likes me and I should do my move but I saw another common friend of ours trying to do something... (and I saw him touching her legs... but she seemed uninterested but didn't say anything either). I am know determined to win her but I don't know if it is too late. I spoke with this guy (who is a descent guy) and he said that nothing has happened but he is going to try to take her. The irony is that this guy tried to make us a couple the year before and now he wants her. He thinks I don't like her anymore. I didn't do anything because I didn't want a long distance relationship but this guy also studies in another country. Now I am not sure if it is too late and what I can do to win her heart (if I still can).

Well, we both are about 17 and schoolmates and I actually know her for about a year but just recently fell in love with her. I have tried to ask her out but she couldn't(I asked her in the middle of the exam period (that was a mistake), she smiled and very shy and said "another time, I'm righting chemistry tomorrow" but looked sad). I'm sure that she likes me because she smiles to me all the time and doesn't stop staring at me. The difficulty is that she is always with her friends that don't actually like me and I can't reach her after school because she leaves with her father! The actual problem is that I want to ask her out (so that we can talk freely) but I don't know how and I don't know where to propose taking her. She is also very shy and she avoids coming near me alone to speak and so it is difficult to reach her alone. I also forgot to mention that she doesn't have a facebook account nor an msn and I in generally don't want to speak to her true a computer and in greece we do not eat lunch at school! What shall I do?
