Lately I've seen a lot of the e-mails sent to my Yahoo account deleyed, and in some cases, never received.

The latest instance of delayed mail happened yesterday:  I made 2 online purchases at 8:04PM, sent a copy of the receipt to my Yahoo account immediately after each purchase, and the e-mails were not delivered to my Yahoo account inbox until 3:56AM this morning.  Why did it take nearly 8 hours to deliver these messages, which were simply messages with nothing attached to them?

The latest instance of e-mails sent but never delivered to my Yahoo inbox occurred yesterday.  I was attempting to recover the password for an online account I use.  I provided my Yahoo email (the email linked to the account) and the web-page displayed a message that a verification code had been sent to my registered email account.  I waited 30 minutes, never saw the e-mail with the verification code, and requested that it be sent again.  I was told that it had been resent.  It's been nearly 24 hours and I've have not received either of those e-mails.

These is only the latest instances of these problems, which has occurred far too often recently.

I have had my Yahoo account for (I think) over 20 years, and until recently, have been very happy with it.
