Regarding endowments (or other unitized investment pools), I understand the concept of unitization and how units are added are added each time someone buys into the investment pool. But I am trying to figure out how the initial number of units is calculated when the fund begins. Any help would be appreciated.

I just had a job interview which I felt went really well except.. they did not ask me to provide any references. Does this mean forget it?

There are some questions I have on SL that are not answered in the help, but everyone in the feed seems to know more than I do!

1-when you post something in the feed, does you whole house see it? how do you know if they answer you - do you have to keep watching the feed?

2-What are ATM's? I have been hearing a lot of talk about them in the feed.

3- What determines how much money you win or lose in a fight? Is it a certain percent of what they have? Or does it depend on how "bad' you beat them?

4- People are desperate for votes, always saying they need like 300 or something. other than the $50, what do you need votes for? How do you know how many you "need"?

I have been trying to learn conversational spanish and have been watching a telenovela. There are a few words that they say all the time and I cannot quite make out what they are. I can only guess how they are spelled by how they sound.

All of these are used as insults. My spelling is probably wrong, because I either cannot find them in the dictionary or I looked them up but they made no sense:

-cesina

-recojida

-perdida

All are used frequently as insults to women, and I cannot figure out what they mean and its driving me crazy. I appreciate any help - thanks.

I was just wondering whether any of those ads that I always see on facebook are legit (the ones that say things like, "Find out who has been searching your profile"). It doesn't seem possible. If so, that would be a serious invasion of privacy !

I was in a long line at a public restroom. When it was my turn and a stall opened up, I went for it. A lady from behind me with a cane walked ahead of me and said "That's a handicap stall" and just kept going for it. Surprised, I said ok and let it go. But it seemed kind of rude how she went about it and it got me wondering: What is the etiquitte for handicap stalls when in a line situation like that? Was she within her rights (she had a cane not a wheelchair)? Should she have waited in line until a handicap stall opened up? Am I supposed to check to see if there are any handicapped people in line before using such a stall? I wouldn't have minded letting her go but she was NOT nice about it, as if I had done something wrong. Any thoughts on this?

We are having a housewarming party and we have told people no gifts. But I know that some of our family and friends won't listen and will bring gifts anyway. The question is, when do you open the gifts? Do you open them while they are there, or just open afterward and send a thank you card?

We have had directv with TiVo and have never had a problem. We are moving and can get a package deal with Dish Network that will be $20 cheaper a month, and includes their DVR. I don't really care about HD channels or anything; I am wondering mainly about how the Dish DVR (or whatever they call it) compares to TiVo. Has anyone tried both?

Maybe I'm crazy, but if Lindsay feels the need to be drunk at all times, wouldn't it make sense for her to use some of her money, which she has plenty of, to pay someone to drive her around instead of risking DUI's? I can't figure that out about these celebrities.
