i've posted hundreds of links on facebook over the past few years, and i'm wondering if there is a way to download them all (both URLs and my accompanying comments) so that i can have them accessible from my own laptop. does anyone know how to do this?

i am looking for a solution that will allow me to share files with my kids who are now at college. ideally, it would be:

- free

- easy to use, both for me uploading and them finding and downloading files

- password protected (either multiple accounts or one that we can share)

- able to handle small and large files (up to just over a gig?)

- have a 'large' amount of storage (obviously, that is open to interpretation, but 1 gig is probably minimum

i have one of the original intel imacs, but the wireless adapter has gotten flakey. is it possible to replace it by using an external usb wifi adapter of some sort? recommendation of a compatible product?

i'm trying to be patient, but it's making me crazy!

i don't mind tina and artie breaking up as much as /how/ they did that. artie neglected her playing video games and tina (who showed some depth last year sorting artie's dreams) went for a guy's abs? weak. like mike has no more compelling qualities? rachel's storyline made her a monster. it's one thing to be reluctant to share the spotlight, but sending the new girl to a crack house? that was dangerous and beyond rude. after all her growth last season, quinn schemes her way back into the head cheerleading spot? why didn't mercedes at least discuss that with her? santana got breast implants? will wants the glee club to prove to everyone how cool they are (since when does he think the opinions of others are so important), then teams up with sue to sabotage the new football coach?

then the next episode barely had a plot. it was like watching MTV. the whole thing was just bizarre and unsatisfying.

is it all legit, or is there some funny business going on?

i'm a member of a gym that has no proper squatting apparatus. what is my best alternative exercise to try to get the same effect? my gym has a smith machine, but having read some scary things about that piece of equipment, i've been steering clear.

there are dumbbells (probably more than i'll be able to squat for a while), and a short bar (looks better for deadlifting). there's also a leg press machine or two (different angles?).

i'd prefer to squat, but i get this membership for free, and since i'm still lifting super light (just got back into it and i'm at like 85 pounds), i'm hoping there are other options i can take advantage of for now.

i love trying new programs and adding functionality to my system, as long as i can do it without jeopardizing the stability and speed of my setup. what freebie software do you use that you consider 'must-have?'

a little surprised at how much drinking and partying goes on at rice. it's reputation is so high academically, but it seems like nearly everyone gets drunk - frequently, even if you're underage. can you be accepted by others at rice if that's just not your thing?

running firefox 3.6.8 on os x 10.5.x, and noticed that credit card numbers and other sensitive info seem to be saved in the autocomplete database. but i can no longer find where to edit that. i go to preferences>privacy and all i see if history and location options. likewise with preferences>security. can you help?

A friend told me that many politicians were wealthy before they were elected. I don't doubt that's true, but it got me wondering how much their average salary was prior to election. Does anyone know where I'd look for that?

i replaced the sata hard drive in my laptop and put it in an external case. it has no power supply - just draws power from usb. can i hot plug and unplug it in windows 7, or might this corrupt the drive in some way? if i need to tell win 7 that i'm going to unplug it (kind of like a usb flash drive), how do i do this?

Thinking of running OS X in a virtual machine under Win 7, but only the server version is supported. Found cheap copies of the server version online. Can I use this to run the usual Mac applications?

This router works. It's connected to my cable modem, and I'm connected to the router via a wire. But I can't reach it at address 192.168.1.1. I've tried the hard reset (hold reset button for 30 seconds or so), but whenever I try, the browser tells me that the address looks valid, but can't get a connection. Anything else I should try?
