I've seen several documentaries of narrow excapes from deathrow by people that were, just in time, proven not quilty or at least freed because there was an unignorable doubt established. Now there is a natural law that states that if something can go wrong it wil (murphies law). So wouldn't it be correct to say that if those documentaries have only the slightest base of truth in them it's unavoidable to conclude that the USA does execute innocent people? I believe a big portion of the population in the USA think it's a "price/risk that has to be paid" to effectively fight crime. So is it ok that some unlucky individuals get executed for the benefit of the nation as a whole? And would any suggestion that those people would tend to be poor, or socialy weak be unrealistic, and if not would that bother you maybe? For instance if O.J. Simpson would have been a poor unknown ghetto-dweller would he have been executed by now, and is that ok?

What consideration, if any, were made to look at the solar-system the way we do? The solar system is a a disk of planets around a star where north is up, but why isn't south up and called north? Might it have something to do with the notion that it's hotter below (maybe a referal to hell) so the europeans (who live in the north) associated south with warm and down?
