I have this old phone that I wanted to upgrade. Problem is that I have no idea what I am in for in trying to update this thing. All I care about is keeping the numbers, pictures and notes that I have taken in this note app that came with ios 5. I still have google maps on my phone, but that is all I really care about. I heard that was a thing a lot of people miss. I am not worried about keeping my iTunes music since I have spotify. Not interested in jailbreaking. I do want to be able to get some apps on my phone since I can't download any of the newer ones. What are some of my options as far as updating goes? Should I go straight to 8 or can I just go up to ios 6?

Ok, I have been trying for months to figure out how to get a program to run on my laptop. I have only had one programming class where they just make us program in visual studio on windows, but I want to get familiar with programming in Linux as soon as possible. I have tried eclipse as an IDE, and I think I accidentally installed the Java version over the c++ version. I tried to get codeblocks and codelite to work, and I have yet to figue any of those out. The closest I got to getting a simple hello world program to work is by using the text editor to work. Here is my code:

i make sure i am in the correct directory, and then type g++ -Wall main.cpp

next i type ./main.cpp and I get the following message:

./main.cpp: line 3: `int main()'

I have been googling solutions trying to figure out what's up. I alreay did the sudo apt-get install build-essentials and can't figure out what to do at this point :/

I looked at sites such as ivave.com, mp3fiesta and mp3million.com and they sell music for dirt cheap. Some mention that they have copyright license such as ivave.com but I want to know if that means it is still legal to download if I live in the us. If you have recent sources for your answers I would appreciate it!

... with a helium balloon. Just for kicks. Are there laws or licenses that need to be considered before doing this? I imagine I would have to call the FAA before rocketing stuff out of the atmosphere but what about a balloon getting way up there?

Every day I sprinkle a little bit of chia grass seeds on my carpet and water them, but for some reason my roommate hates it and thinks I am crazy. It is one of my hobbies to grow chia grass, including grass in my rattlesnakes cage and all of my tarantula cages. I love it! But how do I get my roommate to tolerate it?

There is a virus on one of my computers that won't let me run anything. When I try to open things like microsoft word, my antivirus program, paint, and even command prompt it asks me what I want to open the program with. Even with other antivirus programs I try to download. Where is the folder (or folders) that I can look in to delete or screw up the virus and how do I know it is the virus? I don't know too much about navigating through my computer so at least point me in the right direction starting from my computer. And I have a feeling that the virus will make its folder hidden so how do I go about finding that? I don't have the disks to reboot the computer so I need to find where this folder is.

My boss has this virus on his computer that won't let him get on the internet anymore(other computers can get on the same network, this computer is plugged in and not wireless). I tried to go into command prompt and everything and it won't let it happen. I used to have a virus like this on one of my computers that wouldn't let me run antivirus.

Anyway I think it is this program called AVG "antivirus" that is the root of the problem. I tried to end its processes in task manager and it kept coming back up. I'm not 100% sure if it is the source, I only think it is cause its "scans" say there isn't a virus and I can't delete it by its way or by the add/remove program method (cause it's blocked).

So I am thinking of doing one of two things:

-install antivirus software from the store (remember I have no access to the internet from this machine, but there are others)

-save all important documents to his external hard drive and reformat the computer (but I don't have the discs)

What should I try doing?

Is it the sun, a rock star, pop star, parents, shape, or what?

stick figures and crooked circles, but people don't fancy those unique art styles of mine ;)

Where can I learn how to draw? Is there like some magical website with technique training or some youtube videos, cause when I was in art class back in the old days everyone already knew how to draw and it didn't make sense to me why people who knew how to draw would take a class to learn how to draw. (end of rant)

Anyway the point is that I want to get into the three dimensional voodoo on paper because that would be awesome because when I try to draw a cube it looks like two squares tied to each other with rope. Not very cube-like.

Any advice would be appreciated :D

I was thinking about neon tetra but I think they require a 10 gallon tank or something. Are there any other colorful fish (preferably small so I can have a few fish) that would be nice to have?

I used to have fish in a 15 gallon tank till my sis dumped shampoo in it >.< but now that she's older I think she'll leave them alone. I just want a tank that is small and doesn't require extensive maintenance. Point is is that I know how to take care of fish, but since I will only be staying with my parents for the summer I want something that my younger brother (teenager) can take care of when I head out again.

presentation about wildlife conservation. I know, boring subject probably worthy of only harmonica music being played by a 70 year old man, but hey maybe you guys know some good music. If you need something visual to work with, I will be covering the folling: devastation of poaching (illegal hunting) and what we are trying to do to prevent it, restoration of natural habitats, and regulations of hunting.

If you are still boggled, this can sum up what I am looking for:

-something dramatic, that shows devastation (not looking for rock or rap)

-something a bit triumphant and dramatic (like eagle-soaring-over-mountains triumphant)

-Some good classical/movie sound tracks may be the best for this.

Sorry for asking a confusing question; if you can, I would like the artist/song title and possibly a youtube clip or something so I can listen to it. Thanks!
