    I think it may very well be Rickey Henderson, though Ichiro Suzuki has been timed at 3.7 secs to first from home. Waaaaay back when, Lefty O'Doul won a contest by making it from the plate to first in only 3.3 seconds That being said, Mickey Mantle was timed at 3.1 seconds, but was rumored to have done it in 2.9 seconds. Of course, rumors have a nasty habit of being untrue sometimes. . . .

    I think currently it's Brett Gardner. I think he was timed at 14 secs to round the bases for an inside the park HR last year.
