  • 250 IS lens vs 300 lens with no IS?

Hi! I'm looking to get a little upgrade for my Canon Rebel T2i. I am a high school student and i'm hoping to get into photography as a double major in college.

The two lenses that i'm looking at are on Amazon. The first is a 75-300 mm lens. It does not have IS and the used price is roughly a bit more than a hundred dollars. http://www.amazon.com/Canon-75-300mm-4-5-6-Telepho...

The second one is a 55-250 mm lens with IS. It is priced roughly around 145 dollars used. http://www.amazon.com/Canon-55-250mm-4-0-5-6-Telep...

Being relatively broke, i'm looking to save as much money as possible. I'm worried that having a lens without IS would cause a lot of problems, considering that i'm used to having it with my kit lens. I do own a good tripod. Would it be worth the extra money to get an IS lens?

Right now i'm doing a lot of outdoor portrait photography. Most of my serious photos are outdoors. I figure I could just use my kit lens indoors, but I still have some reservations...

    Thanks!

  • Chick-fil-a coupons question?

So someone has gotten me this fantastic Chick-fil-a calendar that has these really great coupons in them for each month of the year. The thing is, I haven't been able to go this month and I don't want to waste this coupon. The coupon doesn't have an expiration date but rather says "Please use January 2-31"

So should I try to use it or?

  • Does this camera bundle seem to good to be true?

I was browsing Ebay and came across what seems to be a relatively well priced refurbished camera bundle: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nikon-D3100-Digital-SLR-Ca...

The company appears to be reputable judging by the feedback. What do you guys think?

  • AC Adapter and battery usage?

I have an HP computer and i've been told quite a few things regarding how to conserve the battery. Typically in the past the batteries have lasted about a year. A geek squad adviser told me that leaving the power chord in while the computer is in use and taking the power chord out while the computer is off is the best way to conserve power. An HP adviser told me that letting the battery run cycles and keeping the computer plugged in while it's turned off will conserve the battery. What's true?

  • Yummy Italian Desert?

I had this delicious desert in Roma, Italy and I have no idea what it is called or if it is available in the states.

Its this chocolate cocoa that has the consistency of pudding. They serve it in coffee cups hot. The packaging for the mixture is blue and I believe the name of it could have started with a "C"

  • Ivy League Acceptance?

I hope to be able to apply to Ivy League schools next year. I plan to get an education in the arts. I currently attend a Governor's School. I try to stay as active as possible with extracurriculars in my busy schedule. My GPA isn't perfect. How much wiggle room, if any, do I have as far as GPA and SAT scores? What else, besides grades and test scores, can I work on to give myself a better chance in going to an ivy league for visual arts?

  • Older camera model tips?

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to view my question :)

I'm a high school student that will be going to a school to study visual arts. I was looking into getting a new camera, but I dont have the funds to drop 500+ dollars for one. I'm sick of getting blurry pictures from my point and shoot Coolpix and it's driving me crazy.

So, I was thinking of going for a cheaper, older (maybe even vintage) camera. One that is relatively good quality and can still hold it's own to cameras today. I realize that the pictures wont be anywhere near the standards of today's top cameras, but i'm fine with that. I'm fine with having to use film too.

My question to you is: Am I hoping for too much? Or is this something that I can look into?

Suggestions on brands, models? Any tips?

Thank you so much for your time!

    Have a wonderful day :)

    Thanks,

  • What is a good way to share 100 facts?

I'm going to a new school and we're all trying to get to know each other. A lot of the other people have posted "100 facts" videos, and I'd like to do the same. I'm just not good at making videos (i'm so awkward) so I wanted to do it some other creative way. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  • Can anyone help me with Neopet's multiple account rules?

I sent the support staff this email, but they haven't answered. Can anyone on here answer this for me?

    Dear Support Staff,

My name is Julia and I have a question regarding multiple accounts. I have recently created a new account a month ago, and use that as my main account. I also have an older side account that I use for guilds and things. A few days ago I found and regained a very old account from my childhood that I haven't touched in years. I intend to use it as a side account, but it has quite a few rare items that i've collected in the past that I have no use for on this account now that it's a side. I'm aware that side accounts can't earn neopoints, and I'm not planning on transferring any that I have on there. I only want to transfer some useful items to my main. Would I be allowed to transfer these items to my main account where they will be used? If I leave them on this old account, all they will do is gather dust :P

    Thanks for your time.

    Sincerely,

    Julia

    Thanks!
