What are the chances of McCain's invasive melanoma returning while he's in office?
Recurrences of his very serious melanoma usually happen within 10 years of treatment. McCain was last treated 8 years ago. Treatment is so toxic that he would be incapacitated and unable to function as President if he were to have a recurrence while in office.
He also smoked 2 packs a day for 24 years, has had cataract surgery, received treatment for high cholesterol and high blood pressure, suffers from degenerative arthritis and vertigo.
A petition has been circulated and signed by 2,302 physicians demanding that he release his full medical history. He has not. He gave reporters (only 1 had medical background) 3 hrs. to go through thousands of pages of his medical reports with no cameras, cellphones, etc. allowed.
The US military wouldn't let a soldier fly a plane without having his or her thorough medical records. Why does our government not insist on all candidates coming clean about their medical conditions???
7 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow would McCain curb the influence of money in Washington and return to a government of, by & for the people?
Corporate lobbies and the wealthy are corrupting our politics. Lobbyists not only court the politicians, but actually take paid positions from them. Will McCain change any of this?
7 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhat would McCain do to sustain a broad & prosperous middle class in a global economy?
We run a deficit of nearly $2 billion a day with the rest of the world. What, specifically, would McCain do to get us out of this hole?
8 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow would McCain reclaim the Constitution and the Republic created by our founders?
The president now claims the right to wage war without end anywhere in the world, trampling American rights in the name of national security. Those go beyond the powers a president should have without the majority acceptance of Congress.
4 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow would McCain guarantee affordable healthcare for all?
Healthcare costs are hurting the budgets of working families, businesses, states and the federal government. Don't tell me someone is looking for a handout when it comes to something as basic as healthcare. A simple accident can wipe out hard-won savings in any family. Now how's McCain gonna do it? Please?
13 AnswersElections1 decade agoHave you seen the "Brave New Pac" interview on youtube with McCain's fellow POW Philip Butler?
Butler was there longer than McCain, says there were 600 men who all performed just as well as McCain but McCain is leading us to believe he was above the rest; that the POW experience is not conducive to the job of President; that POWs have more medical problems and a shorter expected life-span that's been witnessed by his fellow POWs;that McCain was volatile and that he (Butler) wouldn't want him near the bomb button.
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhat do you think when you hear that Todd Palin has been sitting in on private administrative gov. meetings?
Is there a conflict of interest considering his job with big oil? What will be his role if he becomes First Dude?
13 AnswersElections1 decade agoDo you think McCain is controlling his campaign or has turned it over to Rove and Lobbyists?
Since he lost the first time when he earned the title of maverick, what has changed to make him do 180s on many of his positions? What does that mean for his presidency should he win?
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoIf Palin is running for open gov., why won't she meet with Troopergate investigators?
What happened to all that "transparency" she claimed would be part of her tenure? What does that mean for how she would behave as VP. Will she continue the Republican habit of ignoring subpoenas? Where's the reform in that?
22 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy do you think McCain won't release all his medical records?
A group of physicians for Obama have been quoted as stating "John McCain is a 72 year old man with recurrent melanoma, hyperlipidemia, degenerative joint disease, and recurrent difficulty with certain efforts at recall.
"These are the limited facts the American people have had access to. Over 1000 pages of medical records were shown to selected journalists for 3 hours with less than 48 hours of notice."
Pointing out that a serious repetition of previous medical disorders could seriously affect his presidency even the possibility of it resulting in his death, the statement continues:
"...A recurrence of metastatic malignant melanoma would essentially destroy John McCain's capacity as the Chief Executive, and the American People have yet to receive a full accounting of the facts regarding his actuarial risk."
Doesn't the person who would be the oldest president in our history owe us full disclosure well before election day?
16 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy doesn't Palin even know how much energy Alaska produces?
Palin claims Alaska "produces nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of energy." That's not true. FactCheck.org reports that "Alaska did produce 14 percent of all the oil from U.S. wells last year, but that's a far cry from all the "energy" produced in the U.S.
Alaska's share of domestic energy production was 3.5 percent, according to the official figures kept by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. And if by 'supply' Palin meant all the energy consumed in the U.S., and not just produced here, then Alaska's production accounted for only 2.4 percent."
Since she was chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, overseeing the oil and gas development in Alaska to produce more for the United States, shouldn't she at least know that or or has she been caught out-and-out lying about her expertise?
13 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhat does what McCain did to Carol McCain mean to you?
He married former model Carol and adopted her children before he was a POW. She waited for him faithfully for years, but had a horrible car accident which left her disabled. When McCain returned he cheated on her with women including beautiful heiress Cindy. He wanted to marry Cindy, so he divorced Carol and married Cindy one month later. Are these the kind of values we want in a President or, does his personal life have nothing to do with his professional one?
19 AnswersElections1 decade agoDoes it bother you that Palin encouraged the Alaskan Independence Party to "Keep up the good work"?
While campaigning for Governor of Alaska two years ago, she was publicly encouraging this separationist movement to which her husband belonged.

19 AnswersElections1 decade agoTo rephrase my question: What has the GOP done to make your life better in the last 8 yrs.?
Last time people told me about their divorces and winning the lottery! I'm more interested to know if your taxes are up or down, expenses up or down, have your housing conditions improved or not, are your health concerns addressed? Thank you.
10 AnswersElections1 decade agoAre you better off today than you were 8 yrs. ago?

13 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy do Americans insist on "hiring" an affable President they would want to go to a bar with, but?
they demand a top-of-their-class doctor and a top-of-their-class lawyer? Why wouldn't we want the most intelligent President we can find??
