I just won a bid on gunbroker.com for a EAA Witness 10mm auto stainless steel pistol with 4.5" barrel.

It holds 15 + 1 rounds of 10mm, and weighs 33oz unloaded.

I agreed to buy it for $450 + $20 for shipping, and + $30 for the FFL transfer to my local gunstore.

So, for a total of $500 spent, did I get a pretty good deal for this pistol?

Can anyone give me the pros and cons of this pistol?

I've owned my black 4" service model Springfield Armory XD-40 for a little over 2 years now, and would like to purchase a new slide (one thats bi-tone, not black).

I don't want to have to purchase a brand new XD pistol just to have the bi-tone color.

I was just reading in this month's edition to American Rifleman Magazine that Springfield Armory has officially announced the upcoming release of the Springfield Armory XDm 45 pistol.

Has anyone heard an exact date when it will become available for purchase?

Also, has anyone heard any technical specs on this pistol (magazine capacity, etc...)?

I find it somewhat appauling that the media, and even politicians (like New Jersey's idiot senator Frank Lautenberg) are treating this guy, Haisong Jiang, like a rapist or murderer.

Sure, Haisong may not be the brightest guy on earth, but that does not mean the misdemeanor trespassing charge should classify him with the same as murderers.

He was in love, and just wanted one last kiss from his girlfriend.

Haisong is even receiving more sh*t from Senator Idiot than the guard who left the post.

I have a Glock model 20 (10mm Auto). I have put around 800 rounds of Doubletap Ammunition through it so far (I have tried all of doubletap's loads from 135 grain to 200 grain).

Just the other day at the range, I was using 165 grain speer gold dots. After about three shots, my slide pulled back and stayed back. I racked the slide all the way back to help chamber the round.

From then on, after each shot, it would do the same thing.

I would have to rack the slide in order to chamber the round.

What could be wrong with it, and how do I fix it?

I cleaned the gun, but it still does this.

I tried other ammo, and it still does this.

Now, every three or four shots, I have to rack the slide back.

Please tell me someone within City Electric Light & Power will be charged with at the very least Involuntary Manslaughter?
