I remember watching games from back in the 80s on tele, and nearly every player wore their socks all they way up. Now, its the opposite.

Do you know why this may be?

Did/do you play with your socks up or down?

The most exciting game ive watched...probably collingwood vs hawthorn 2011 prelim. Hard to go past that for me.

Bottom level? Top? wing? behind the goals?

I prefer to sit on undercover on the bottom level at the G. Preferably on the wing.

and why?

they should have won. no doubt about it. petrie took too long and they missed too many. they should be 3-2 not 1-4. Dissapointing for north fans.

The only advantage I can think of is the crowd. It used to be so difficult to win interstate. But now teams are winning so much more often IMO.

Firstly, Alan toovey most likely gone for the season with an acl. So unfortunate as he was in good form and he was such a valuable player for us.

But seriously ffs essendon supporters, keep a lid on it. Did they win they flag? They beat us as expected. We need players back desperately. They must be the most arrogant supporters going round. U might not agree.

We need ball and beams back DESPERATELY. swan and pendles are carrying too much of the load. Also Sinclair needs to go out for krak or dids, were not dangerous enough around goals. Cloke played poorly but against a good opponent.

We got saints next week which we should win and gain done momentum.

Even though we got smashed, I still think we can make a charge if we get a full team. We have alot of improvement.

What are your thoughts? How important do you think ball and beams are too our side?

he killed Richmond today. He was the difference. he is definitely worth the 1 mil IMO. absolute beast.

- melbourne laid 82 tackles that day to geelongs 91.

yesterday, essendon defeated melbourne 184 - 36.

- melbourne laid 35 tackles to essendons 61.

in both games they had less than half the disposals the other team had. but geelong were a better side than essendon were last night.

bit biased but collingwood. we had young, ball, thomas, fasolo, didak, krakour (theres probably more but i cant remember them) not playing. then we had shaw and beams late withdraw prior to match. then we had 3 debutants.

i reckon bulldogs come close aswell. they were expected to be beaten by 10 goals but instead they won by 10 goals.

what do u think?

trust me once they come good and are winning every week, youll hate them.

especially carlton. say they get beaten by 40 points (unlikely) and we smash north, itll definetley take something out of the game.
