What should I do about Medical Mistakes?
In 2005 I had a major stroke which left considerable left frontal lobe damage. One year later I learned from a major hospital in our area that had they transferred me to their facility there was a new procedure that could have done that would have limited the damage, My husband asked about the procedure and transfer but was told it would be of no use. Later that fall I had a Mammogram which was clean, 8 months later my dog found a large lump in my right breast. The Surgeon asked why I had waited so long to receive treatment. In the 8 months it took for my dog to find my lump I was borderline stage 3 and had to have a radical mastectomy. I had both knees replaced within the last 5 months and due to other medical issues I was sent to rehab both times. The second time I was in considerable pain, the first replacement I bresed through on ice and Tylenol. Instead of looking for the cause of the additional pain they over medicated me causing an overdose and seizure. My Nurse did not follow my symptoms and by the time the second shift came in I was totaly non responsive and almost comatose. Now this evening wnem having my veins checked, I learned that my right Artery, which I found was closed in 2010 was clearly seen as clsed in an MRI of the Brain in 2009. I have has more than a few MRI's of the area over that span of time and was dumbfounded that again no one saw it while reading my MRI. Maybe it's just me but that's 4 major, make that 5, I had a surgury assoceated with the cancer, in which they left a bleed in which I almost bled out before going back into have it fixed. 5 times in 7 years there have been major medical mistakes, all of which can be traced back to the same hospitals radiology department where they read the MRI"S.
Would I be wrong to consult an attorney?
2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture8 years agoWhat are the best settings to lock out hackers?
I have a secure network, which seems not to be secure. I have at least 2 hackers using my data to download and play games and so on. I have tried everything I know to keep them out but am no expert. I have gone into systems and disabled some things and advanced settings and blocked others. I am at my end, any help would be great. These guys are costing me money. My next step is going to the Police and file a report, not sure how much it would help but you never know.
