I'm writing a paper on a man named Andreas Vesalius. He's an anatomist from the 16th century that helped to revolutionize our understanding of the human body. I found this website online, and I wanted to know if this would be considered a primary or secondary source.

I'm trying to find information on how Vesalius has impacted our world presently, and I found this company (named Materialise) that said that Vesalius was an inspiration to them.

I'm writing an essay for a school project, but I'm a little confused about how to correctly punctuate it. It's a competition, so I don't want to get marked off for incorrect punctuation. Let's say this is what I'm quoting:

Andreas Vesalius was an influential person in the history of anatomy.

Would I put the punctuation in the quotations:

"Andreas Vesalius was an influential person in the history of anatomy."

Or outside:

"Andreas Vesalius was an influential person in the history of anatomy".

Also, what if I was to continue writing after the quotes?

"Andreas Vesalius was an influential person in the history of anatomy," says professor Something-Something.

I am also using footnotes, if that makes any difference.

For a project, I need to conduct some interview questions to professionals about trash, how they can solve the problems of litter/trash/recycling, etc., but I can't seem to think of any good questions. Any ideas?
