I understand both independent and general formula to get P(AuB) and (AnB) etc. But I just can't manipulate them to get an answer.

I get the rules of logarithms etc - 9^1/2 = Log3 + 1, But I don't understand what I need to do with the +1. The answer is supposed to be Log 30.
