  • Am I the only one who wonders why Calvin Johnson just didn't hang on to the dam ball?

You know that he knows better than anyone that the ref needs to give the signal for there to be a TD. He was more focused on celebrating than making sure the ref saw him with the ball. Every football player knows the ref needs to see you with the ball. To me Johnson screwed up, plain and simple.

  • How much longer will baseball survive? Will it ever die out?

We all know Football is king in the U.S. and every sports show I see, the stadiums at baseball games seem to be more than half empty. Perhaps I only catch the shows when they are recapping losing teams.

  • Explain how a clean sweep of Congress and the Senate will change anything?

Kick out old puppets and put in the new ones? Special Interests run the government and you act like that will change with new people. Please. We need a harsh slam, or elimination, of funding by corporations and make it so that we can see up front who is accepting money from what corporation.

Robin Williams was right. Make them all wear badges like they do in Nascar so we know if they are representing us, or their pocketbooks. . Sure they'll look like clowns but that is what we think of them anyhow so whatever.

  • Congressman Peter King, Rep. said Obama "caved to political correctness"... wtf?

I thought that would be the case if he had been against it, since there are more it seems who are opposing the mosque than there are for it.

Knowing Republicans and there violent defense of the constitution he should have said this was a "Constitutional cave in by Obama" and should have supported the decision.

This is one of the stupidest and hypocritical things I have heard in a while...

  • What are some cold recipes for summer time meals?

I can't grill where I live so the only way for me to cook outside is to constantly go to the park.

I really don't want to use the oven so I can keep my home cool, so I'm hoping the community can tell me about cold food recipes (breakfast, lunch or dinner) or a website for me to find some to have a look at.

    Thanks.

  • Would you support the government seizure of BP?

I don't know the law when it comes to this but I do know that conservatives, republicans, liberals, democrats, tea party and everyone in between know that we are going to have to pay higher prices for petroleum products after this is over.

If they tried to raise our prices to pay for their mistake, would you support the government taking it over to prevent such bullshit from occurring?

Nobody likes the government to step in and take over... this however is not just another accident, especially since the latest effort to stop the leak has failed.

  • Parents with daughter, I'm a single father... advice...?

My daughters mother and I have split and I have custody. Her mother is not in her life, whew, but I am starting to stress just a bit. My daughter will be 10 in a month, and with how quickly children are growing up nowadays, i'm starting to wonder when the right time is for me to have that "talk."

There is plenty of books and doctors to talk to however i would also like input from regular day to day parents on how you approached this issue.

No two children are the same, this I understand, but im just looking for your experiences.

    Thanks

  • How do scientists identify new chemicals in space?

"We see a huge cloud of material around the planet, which is escaping and will be captured by the star. We have identified chemical elements never before seen on planets outside our own solar system," team leader Carole Haswell of The Open University in Great Britain said.

This statement was referencing planet WASP-12b in the Auriga Constellation

  • When will Republicans retake the oval office?

If you step back and look at it, i really don't see Obama being a one term president.

I wonder if HIllary will challenge him next election as well? For some reason I don't see that happeninguntill after his second term.

I know they say the young voters are not voting, so Dems are scared. Those voters though voted for Obama and when the challenge returns I have little doubt that they will be there to elect him once again.

    Maybe the election after next?

  • Are there even democrats and republicans any more?

    --Liberal---Democrat-------Republican---Conservative--

Republican and Conservative are not the same Just as much as Democrat and Liberal are not. Liberal and conservative are supposed to mean those who are farther to the right or left in their political party.

However it seems that nowadays everybody is either Liberal or Conservative...when that is just not the case.

I am a democrat who says im pro choice...I'm called Liberal

I say I am against gun Control...Im conservative

  • Arent Americans the problem, not Immigrants?

Who has been hiring immigrants since day one? It hasn't been Immigrants them selves that's for sure.

Immigrants have not stolen any jobs from Americans. Americans have given them away to save themselves some money at the expense of putting their neighbors out of work. Yet people blame the immigrants? Just because they are here does not mean you have to hire them.

So don't blame the people that come here looking for work, blame the people that hire them...Usually Americans looking to save a buck.

  • Why do people blame Obama not BP?

Obama taxes BP to pay for the clean up, and in turn BP will most likely raise prices to cover its revenue and keep its shareholders happy.

    This is Obama's fault how?

BP is recouping its losses at our expense, and your mad at Obama?

Tell me what he is supposed to do!

He does nothing, we get pissed. He taxes them to cover expenses, we get pissed at HIM because THEY will raise their prices...

Yeah...Don't blame the people who should just pay for what they have done without digging into our wallets which are light enough as it is.

  • Easier to blame Mexicans instead of Americans?

I'm amazed when I hear people claim Mexicans are "stealing" their jobs. Does it not occure to people that the jobs are being "given" to Mexicans by AMERICANS? Your fellow American citizens are spitting in your face when they hire illegals and send your American *** packing.

This even pertains to those who have their home renovated, or pick up a guy from Home Depot for manual labor. What there is not a kid or out of work Joe on the block that they could pay for a day of work?...Oh i forgot...Mexicans are cheaper! If those in your community hire illegals over companies with all American citizen workers, why dont we give them hell?

Instead we compliment them on what a great deal they were able to get...DISGUSTING!

Why cant the public see that Americans are the problem not Mexicans.

    SOLVE THE PROBLEM HIRE AMERICAN!!!!!

  • How likely is it that I may be held liable for people leaving my house after drinking?

I have a roommate who regularly has a buddy or two over every night. They hang out for an hour or so and drink. I know that they are leaving after having consumed alcoholic beverages and im starting to wonder if this is something that I might have to worry about if they get into an accident and injure themselves or others.

  • Health care bill...has anyone heard if it has an effect on this specific problem?

I have heard that you can not be dropped from your insurance, yet I have not heard if it does anything to speed up the process of insurance companies making decisions to provide care. Example being, if a person who has cancer is told she has 10 months to live and they need chemotherapy and the Insurance company simply has the order for the service "pending" while the patient suffers and at times ultimately dies. Although this is not a common problem that comes to light much, it is still a problem for some Americans.

If you cannot answer, that is fine, maybe any info about where to find specific information about the bill...i'm not going to read the damn thing x_X

  • In your experience, have you realized the value of money when you had it or when you lacked it?

I know the very value of money is only there as long as we the people believe it is valuable, lol so no smarty pants comments about how its very existence only lives on through our cooperation... with the government to accept it to pay our debts and that it has no real value =P
