4 AnswersPolls & Surveys5 years agoFilled out job application onsite, two weeks later no response. Now what?
I have been looking for serving positions at restaurants in my area. I went into one and asked for an application, filled it out at the bar, and gave it back to the hostess. I was hoping to speak with management while I was there (win them over with my charm), but they were in a meeting. It's been two weeks and I haven't heard back from them. Should I send them a follow up email? I don't have contact information for any of the managers, I would send it to the general email. Should I walk back in and ask for an update? I don't want to hassle them. Thanks!

My parents finally got a Netflix account for our family, but are now deciding against it because they are paranoid that my 13 year old brother will be exposed to inappropriate content. They are considering putting parental controls on his account, but they're nervous that he'll just watch what he wants on our other profiles anyway. I personally think this is ridiculous, as I know that he's inevitably exposed to far more foul content at school and online on a daily basis. I'm just trying to gauge other opinions.

2 AnswersFamily5 years agoIs he being manipulative or honest?
So I was dating this very good looking, charismatic, charming guy who I work with at a restaurant for about a month. When I first started working there everyone told me that though he's a great guy, he's a total player and flirts with everyone, that he just wants casual sex. We ended up having a great connection, started dating, and though our relationship was primarily sexual (we barely ever went out on dates), he told me that he loved me and that he wanted to marry me one day, etc etc. I remained pretty hesitant and cautious because of what everyone had warned me about, and though I treated him as a boyfriend, I was always kind of expecting him to move on to someone new once he got tired of the sex.
Last week he told me he wanted to take a break to focus on his career goals and finish up classes, that he didn't want to lose me, that he still loved me, and then started sleeping with someone new the next day. I made it pretty clear to him that I was angry and that we were done. Last night we finally had a discussion and he told me that a big reason why he wanted to break things off was because he felt like I wasn't giving him my all, that I was judging him based off of what other people had said and that I didn't have enough faith or trust in him. He felt that he was being open and honest and I was building up walls because of preconceived opinions.
So is he just keeping me around for sex or does he really want more?
