I have been given the assignment to discharge 3 large hybrid vehicle lithium ion batteries. I do not have a load bank, so it was suggested to drown them in salt water.

My plan is to put them in a plastic tote and then place a hose inside and fill it with water (without touching the hose).

What are the dangers, if any, of doing this?

What will happen physically when the terminals short circuit in the water?

How can I safely tell if the battery is discharged (0V, 0%SOC)? (Using a voltmeter)

How long will it take? Will it be instantaneous or a slow process?

Any insight is appreciated.

I have a dirt berm about 15ft high and 500ft long that is very steep. I need to get grass seed down quickly to stop erosion. I am looking for a very large volume of grass seed netting. I don't want just your standard 24"x18' netting you'd pick up from Home Depot or similar. I'm looking for something big on a long roll; something that would come on the back of a flatbed and only take 5 or 6 rolls to cover the whole thing.

Is there anything out there like this and who can I call to get it? The kind of thing you see spread out along a new ditch on a highway, sometimes obnoxiously fluorescent green colored...

I have a column that reads Cat Dog Mouse. Each entry has a row of information next to it. On a different sheet, I have a cell that will read either Cat, Dog, or Mouse (don't worry about why it reads that). Can I set up a filter command that will use the entry in that cell to filter the list?

I need to draw something 153 units wide by 69 units tall, but when I zoom all the way out I can only get to about 125 or so, how do I make there be more units on the screen?

Let's say I have a table that's 1000 by 1000 cells, but there are 50 blank rows. Can I set up another table to read that table and then make itself the same table without the 50 blank rows? So it would only have 950 rows, the null ones would be skipped.

Lets say I have 25 different entries in a column of 500 but some are obviously repeated over and over again. What command would I use to search through the 500 entries and make a column of one of each of the 25 entries in a row?

I have a large spreadsheet. Column B lists the names of several project sites, and each row a slurry of information about each site. One column is the Tower Type column, which contains about 5 different tower types. I need to use a drop down box from development tools to select a tower type, and then have it display to me the names (column B) of each site that has that particular tower type. Each type may be present at a different number of sites. Is this possible?

Where can I find the average solar activity for my area? I'm interested in solar panels and need to know how much sunlight there is in various locations annually.

What percentage of the rated power? Panels would go in the northeast. I mean just in general I know that panels are generally about 11-19% efficient but of the rated power what should I actually get on average given average conditions? If I had a 200W panel would I get 100W? 50W? 150W? Thx in advance.

I need to power a 400W max piece of equipment in remote areas with a generator. I don't want to run the generator constantly, rather charge up a battery bank on demand to save fuel and labor costs (paying someone to fill the tank). Is there a company out there that offers a generator attached to a battery bank monitor that will automatically kick on when the charge is low?

My new Lancer has terrible speakers. They are 4" round all the way around. No 6x9's or 4x6's :( I've been looking at the JL evolution C2's, anything better? Not worried about cost.

My favorites are As I Lay Dying, Protest the Hero, We Butter the Bread With Butter, Lamb of God, and Anterior. I like bands that switch it up a bit, have breakdowns, maybe even sing or scream in different tones. No idiots that don't stop hitting their snare and double bass the whole time.
