I've kind of been missing being single. I completely devoted myself this year to my boyfriend and in the process lost touch with some friends and developed jealousy towards my boyfriend. I realized that next year I want to reconnect and make new friends, but it feels difficult balancing friends and a relationship. Anybody have similar experiences?

It's been hard the last couple weeks. Lately, I feel very lonely while my boyfriend goes out to study/have fun with his friends, while my friends are always all busy! I ask them multiple times, and they never can. I've kind of realized that I need to make new friends next semester because they aren't pulling their weight in our friendships.

My boyfriend went to a banquet for his organization, and when he came back I was so angry/depressed because he had fun and was with friends and got certificates, graduation cords, etc. I know it's bad, I don't like being like that. This feeling stuck with me for a good couple days, and I put him through some **** too because of my jealousy! :( I should be happy for him, but I wasn't and sort of not still! What should I do?

I am currently in college and would like to study either Arabic or Persian in addition to Urdu next year. What should I study? I know Arabic has a larger population of speakers, but Persian is closer to Urdu.

There's a guy that I am really in love with. I would like to date him, but as I'm going to UTexas and he's staying in state on the east coast I'm questioning. I really wish I hung out with him more during school. This is actually the first person I've ever felt love for. Most of my friends are saying just do it, you never know if it will work out. And if it doesn't you'll be Texas. What do you say?

I have been accepted into UT @ Austin under my second choice of Asian Cultures and Languages. I really want to be in International Relations. Is it possible to change majors and should I do it now or wait until orientation and start of fall semester?

I am going to prom next Saturday. I have a date and she's a pretty good friend. We're going with another 6 couples in a limo an everything. I'm getting kinda nervous because while we are friends, I don't get to see her much anymore to have some conversation. I'm worried if it'll be awkward. How do you dance with a girl who's just a friend. I went last year to a seniors prom and I know how they can get, but I don't think either of us want to go that route. Any tips?

My mom lately has been always angry at me. She comes in after work in this craze and always seems angry. She can't just relax. We never used to be like this and always were very understanding of each other. If I don't do something her way she gets mad. For example, she wanted to drive her to work, but if I did that I would be late for school. She got all angry and ended up just walking. (it's only a mile from our house). Then for the past 4 months I've been helping her pay the mortgage and other bills by taking them to the bank. This month again she didn't take it and asked if I could take it. With my schedule I forgot. Now she has a late bill, and makes it seem like its my fault. But that's not even my responsibility! In addition, I'm always doing the cleaning, organizing, dishes, etc. I know she has a busy schedule and all with work and masters classes but I also am busy. What should I do?

I transferred $338 into my credit card account from my savings online thinking that it would pay the bill. But it still says that I have $338 to pay. What did I do, where's the money now and what's the correct way for next time. I'm with Tower Federal Credit Union.

We are trying to figure out that if colleges accept 1 in 5, how many must you apply to be 90% sure of having a choice? I have to do a proposal and I don't know where to start. How can this be simulated and what questions are trying to be answered by the simulation? I'm having so much trouble.

I am having trouble with creating a layout for my college resume on Word. I want to have a heading for each part of the resume (education, work experience, extra curricular, etc) then underneath have 3 columns; one for the activity, one for description and one for the date that I was involved in it. Does anyone have any better suggestions or can help me create this?

I am a senior and am now the concert master of the orchestra and in full orchestra, the band also. I am extremely nervous and am doubting whether I should be the concert master. My orchestra is very loud and not even our teacher can really get us quiet. I can sort of but some carry on. Plus, I'm not loud and forceful enough so I end up straining my voice. I have the technique and knowledge but I don't know how to teach to such a large group (60+). Any suggestions?

I'm trying to set a goal at the gym. I'm 16.

It's summer and I am outside a lot doing moderate amounts of work/excersize. I don't over exert myself except at the gym when I am lifting. I also don't overeat. I'm constantly tired a lot of times at home though. What can I do?

My parents divorced and my mom has had some exceptionally bad times with relationships the past 6 years. I'm a little nervous about her dating anyone. I want to tell her how I feel but I don't know how to do it because she's not one to really talk about these issues. There's nothing on the internet about this so I'm asking the community here now what to do. I've gone through the whole dating/remarriage process thing with my dad, but for some reason I didn't care as much and it hasn't really affected me as much as it has with my mom. I sometimes feel selfish that I'm like this, but I don't want my mom with someone who is just abusive again.

I can't run more than 1/4 mile without getting a tight feeling in my airway and chest. It's nothing thy a doctor needs to see and I just need to work on my aerobic capacity. How can I train myself to be able to run longer without so much stress, like running and walking intermittently.

I am an American. I would like to travel to Cuba someday and have seen that it I possible for Americans to get around all the controversy and embargo on Cuba. But at te same time I am plannig on doing the Foreign Service. Would I be denied the job because I simply went to Cuba?
