  • How should I list temporary jobs on my resume?

I lived in another state for a year. While I was there I worked three temporary jobs (one for three weeks, one for six months, and one for five months) acquired through a staffing agency. How should I list the employers on my resume? Should I list the employer as the actual place I worked at, or should I list it as the name of the staffing agency, and then beneath that list the place I worked at? Or is there some other way I should do it?

  • Would a shift solenoid leak cause transmission to slip?

I have a 2006 Kia Spectra. For the past few months, every once in a while when shifting from R to D, the car would jerk before finally shifting to D. After jerking and putting it into D, the RPMs ran higher than usual (at 65, usually mine runs about 2000-2500 RPM and it would run 4000 after jerking). This was an intermittent problem.

This past week, the car did not do it while shifting from R to D, it did it while I was driving (once on the highway, and then later on a main road going about 30-40 mph). After the second time it did it while driving, the Check Engine light came on.

Brought the car to the dealership today and they said my shift solenoid is bad. It's covered under warranty so I'm not concerned about it. The question I have is that a few days ago, I was in the garage and bent down to pick something up off the floor and noticed a small puddle under the car. It hadn't been raining or anything (so it couldn't have been water dragged in from the road) and it looked dark so I was worried that it might be oil. I grabbed a paper towel and wiped some of it up. It was clear and did not have any kind of odor to it.

Could this leak have had anything to do with the solenoid going bad?

  • Should I keep this dog?

My husband and I adopted a second mini schnauzer on Saturday, as a companion for our first (whom we adopted in January). He seemed very sweet when we first met him. He had been in a puppy mill before he was taken by the rescue.

Since we've brought him home, I am feeling stronger and stronger that he is not the right dog for us. He is very timid and shy (he submissively peed when my husband tried to put a collar on him), he's very needy (always staring at me and whining, even as I'm petting him). I feel that it would take more time than we have to give him to help him get over these problems.

It's also stressing me out to have another dog in the house. I had finally gotten used to the way things were after getting our first dog, and he had finally gotten to where he was mostly a good boy. Since getting the new dog, our first one does not listen to us as well as he did before. When one dog barks, the other one does, and they will not quiet down, which also bothers me. I'm very stressed out from work and feel that the new dog is only adding to that (where I am used to the first dog now and he doesn't bother me).

However my husband thinks I'm overreacting and doesn't understand why I feel the way I do. I want to take the dog back to the rescue because I think it's the best thing for him. My husband is convinced that the new dog just needs a home and love - which he would still have if he went back to the rescue since they are fostered in-home until they are adopted.

I have not been able to speak with the new dog's fosters yet to voice my concerns. I want to do what is best for the dog, and I feel like that is taking him back because I don't think we can give him what he really needs. The problem is that my husband is already very attached and I don't know what to do. I know my husband wants what is best for the dog as well, but he and I think that is two very different things.
