  • Last-minute costume idea to match Carmen Sandiego?

So I'm going to a dance tomorrow night (Saturday), and it's a costume dance. My date and I were planning to go as Inspector Gadget and Carmen Sandiego, but the trench coat we were expecting in the mail for him won't be here in time! I have all of the carmen costume, so give me advice, what's something last-minute I could do that would still match carmen, or a whole new costume idea that's cheap, or anywhere in the Lookout Mountain/Chatanooga area that would have men's trench coats. Help! And they have to be cartoon costumes, by the way.

  • Cartoon costume ideas for college?

So my college is having a dance in a couple weeks, and the theme is cartoon characters, everyone is supposed to dress up. I need some ideas for what my date and I could dress up as, I want something really unique and original, something that nobody else will think of. Got anything? It has to be a cartoon.

  • What was that thing called?

So I was watching The Office on Thursday, and Michael's got all those crazy toys on his desk, you know. And I noticed that one of them was that funny little rubber spiky ball that was like the coolest thing in the 90s. Do you remember what I'm talking about? It's that funny ball that's just a bunch of tiny rubber threads sticking out all over, and for the life of me I can't remember the name of it.

  • What should I definitely take to college?

I'm starting college in a couple weeks, and I've gone over every "what to bring" list I can find, and I think I've got everything I need, but my question is: what's something that you never heard that you needed to bring but definitely came in handy in college?

  • How do I get the mildew smell out of my hair?

My Grandma's house has a really bad mildew problem, and every time I go visit I come back with my hair REEKING of mildew. I usually have to wash it at least three times to get the smell out, but I'm tired of how long it takes and how dry it makes my hair. Does anyone have a faster way to get the mildew out?

  • How old can rabbits normally get?

I've had rabbits since I was five, and none of them have lived as long as the two I have now. They're brothers, and they're pushing nine. They live together and are very close. I also had her sister, who lived with an older female that died at about seven, and she died when she was five, a couple years after her friend died. They were also very close and the sister seemed to get more and more depressed when she was alone.

So my question is, are my guys living longer because they have each other's company? I don't want them to die, but at the same time, shouldn't they be winding down soon?

(And I know the oldest rabbit ever was 17)

  • Can a twin comforter fit an XL mattress?

I'm headed off to college and I'll have an XL twin mattress in my dorm room. I haven't been able to find alot of XL comforters that I like, and I was wondering if a twin bedspread would really be too short. I figure they usually have alot of extra length at the end to cover the end of the bed, but dorm bunkbeds don't really allow for that, anyway.

  • What should my mom get for my Grandma?

We're going to my Grandma's house in a couple weeks, and my mom realized that she's forgotten to buy her birthday present. It's her mother-in-law, and she's old, like 80. She's been sick for the past few weeks and in and out of the hospital. She already has plenty of nightgowns, spa sets, foot massagers, and cookbooks. Not to mention clothes, purses, and jewelry. She doesn't have any distinct hobbies but is somewhat redneck-inclined (as in singing fish and garage sales). We don't have enough time to put together anything meaningful like scrapbooks. Any ideas?

  • How do I extract audio from a movie file?

I'm putting a video together, and I'd like to use audio from one video as a voice-over for another video, but so far I can't find where to extract the audio and turn it into a sound file. I've got Windows XP and Pinnacle Studio Plus. What do I do?

  • How do I fake hitting someone with a car?

I'm shooting a video for a school project. In one scene I have to hit someone with a car (my teenage brother volunteered to be "hit"). We've practiced it a couple times, but the timing's always off. He's supposed to get hit because the driver's not looking and the angle's from inside the car, and simce he's not a professional, I planned to cut the shot off right before he's hit so he doesn't get hurt. Any tips on how to make this scene convincing (and safe)?
