I've been following a 6-day per week regimen doing running and calisthenics for a few months but I feel like this is preparing me just to do the bare minimum. Any rec's on a good website or regimen?

Remind me again why we're subsidizing the rich at the expense of the average, hard-working American taxpayer? I'm sick of hearing my parents tell me that they're gonna need to work for 5-10 more years because their retirement funds have taken such big hits...

I think the U.S. dug its own grave... what do you think will happen in the next 5, 10, 20 years in terms of our position in the world?

We live in a culture that glorifies war to the extent that being a "real" man becomes the most important part of a young man's life. Is this fair to the servicemen and women who put their lives on the line? While they're sacrificing their time, their lives and their efforts for this country, is it appropriate to talk about how war is glorious, how the U.S. must complete its mission of spreading democracy, how righteous the American cause is? We live our comfortable lives, talking about how we should change the world and drop bombs on cities like we have a clue about what it's like out there. What are your thoughts on this?

I'm 21 yrs old and only 5'6".. Isn't your height supposed to be equal to your wingspan?

I'm a 5' 6" guy and I'm giving my all towards becoming a Marine officer. Generally speaking, soldiers are pretty tall but I am wondering if my stature will give me some physical advantages over fellow candidates who are taller... such as increased reaction time, smaller target, easy concealment, agility, balance?

Your thoughts? Especially from vets and ex-soldiers

OK, here is my background: I'm currently a senior at Boston College. I have always been interested in joining the military because my father was an ROK Marine and my grandfather was part of the resistance movement during WWII. I was unable to join Army ROTC because of my weight problem freshman year, but I have lost 50 pounds since then.

I am wondering if I would go in as an E-1 if I were to enlist.. I have heard that some college grads can enlist as E-2 or even E-3 because of their education.

For former members of the military, what do you think, should I enlist or go for an officer training program?
