2 AnswersMathematics5 years ago2006 BMW 3-series or 2008 Mercedes C-class?
I'm about to buy my first car and since I do not know a lot about cars, I need some help.
I am looking at 3 cars right now:
-2006 BMW 325i for $11000, it has been in one accident but everything has been fixed (milage is 160000km)
-2006 BMW 323i, no accidents for $10500 (milage is 175000km)
-2008 Mercedes c300 4matic for $17000 (milage is 125000km)
I know repair costs will be similar, but which will be cheaper to insure? Which is overall more reliable and better to drive?

What would be a simple reaction where the law of conservation of mass may not apply?
I know it has to be an open-system reaction, but I need a lab idea that would demonstrate this.

In a few days I will be travelling internationally to Europe with British Airways, and there is a 5-hour stop in between in the UK (London Heathrow). I'm travelling in economy with a few friends but we would like lounge access in between flights. Can we gain access to the lounge? How much would we have to pay?
2 AnswersAir Travel9 years agoGrade 9 girl and grade 11 guy?
So I'm a grade 9 girl and I really like this grade 11 guy. BUT I've never actually talked to him and I'm kind of shy so how do I get him to come to me?
I see him all the time in school, but I think it would be weird if I just approached him...
Oh, and do you think the age difference would be weird?
7 AnswersSingles & Dating9 years agoBest credit card for international travel?
My 15-year-old daughter is going to Europe alone this summer to visit some family and friends. We do not want her to end up in a situation where she needs extra money but does not have access to it so my husband and I have decided to get her a credit card. But, we are not sure which one to get her. Some options we are looking into are:
BMO World Elite
American Express Platinum
Visa Gold
American Express Gold
What are the pros and cons of each card? Are there any other good travel cards?
We are leaning towards the AmEx Platinum but it has an annual fee of $400. Is it worth it? She would be using the airport lounges while she travels, if that makes a difference.
Also, would my husband or I have to get one and then get our daughter an additional card or can she be the only one in the family with one? No one in our family has an American Express card.
Sorry for all the questions, but we really want to make the right decision.

4 AnswersCredit9 years agoWhat are daytime minutes?
I found a Rogers plan that says 200 daytime minutes. I always thought this was how many minutes you can use monthly (during the day, because the plan is unlimited evenings and weekends), but my friend says its daily.
So do I get 200 minutes a day or a month? :s
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans10 years agoiPhone vs Blackberry?
So it's time for me to get a new phone. Right now I have prepaid but I'm planning on getting either an iPhone 4, iPhone 5 (when it comes out) or a Blackberry Bold Touch 9900. The thing is, I don't know which phone to get !
I would get the unlimited student plan for $55 a month that includes 200 minutes, unlimited calling after 6pm, unlimited weekends, 1GB of data, unlimited social networking, unlimited messaging and MY10. I heard the Blackberry uses less GB to surf the web than the iPhone but I think 1GB is enough for either phone.
So I love to text, i don't call too often but I love apps and listening to music. I don't have an iPod touch, if that makes a difference. I really like the speed and look of the iPhone, but all my friends have blackberries and love BBM. I'm getting a 3 year contract.
Oh and I have a MacBook so does that make syncing easier for the iPhone?
Is BBM coming to the iPhone???
Last question; can you chat on Facebook with the iPhone? I know with Blackberries you can't.
Thanks in advance !

So it's time for me to get a new phone. Right now I have prepaid but I'm planning on getting either an iPhone 4, iPhone 5 or a Blackberry Bold Touch 9900. I know the iPhone 5 isn't coming out until October/November but Apple is hopefully going to reveal it September 7th. The thing is, I don't know which phone to get !

3 AnswersPDAs & Handhelds10 years agoMacbook Pro or Windows?
So I'm getting a new laptop tomorrow but I can't decide which one.
I'm starting the ninth grade in September. My dad said I had three choices:
1) a 15'' Macbook Pro
2) a Lenovo Laptop (IdeaPad Z565) and an iPod Touch
3) any other PC laptop under $1000, and get one this year and another in 2 years (when I start grade 11)
Which is the better deal? I really want a get a Mac, but is it any better than a Windows (PC)? How long will it last?
One more question: Does anyone know if Apple will have their "Buy a Mac, get a free iPod" deal?
7 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks10 years agoCan I and should I take AP classes?
Right now I'm a grade eight student in French Immersion, and all my marks are above 80%, and I need to chose whether I want to take AP or Academic courses! The only option for grade nine AP (the only course my high school offers is AP mathematics.
Also, my math teacher won't give me a recommendation! I find it unfair, because I have high 80s and 90s in math, and the sheet for applications says I need level 4s, which I have. But, my math teacher is only giving a recommendation for two students from the two classes she teaches!! She said she's only signing if you have higher than 100% in math. I find it unfair because the other math teacher in my school is signing the recommendation form if you have high 80s! My math teacher says the AP program is overrated...is it? I read that it is great to have on university applications.
What can I do?
Would you recommend AP classes? How hard are they?
And if she does sign, should I apply?
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoMy mom's moving out! Is it my fault?
My mom and I always get into fights about my room. She tells me I have to clean it, and I never have the time. I clean it about once a month, and its never THAT messy, its just that some of my clothes are on my chair and my bed is never made. My mom's a real neat freak. Today, she told me she's moving out and that it's all my fault because I don't clean my room! I told her that even if i cleaned my room, she still would move out, but she says that she wouldn't. But, I know my mom , and I know she's just looking for an excuse to move out. I'm really pissed that she's blaming it all on me, when she keeps getting into fights with my dad. To be honest, she acts like a real b**** sometimes. She's always making up excuses. But...is it really all my fault?
Even though I know she wouldn't stay either way, I still feel that its all my fault! what do I do?

How old do you have to be to work in Canada? Because my friend really needs some extra cash and she was thinking about getting a job. She's 12 and a half. She doesn't want anything fancy, just something like working in Price Chopper or a food store or something like that. Would that work out?? If you have any other ways to earn money (other than babysitting and tutoring and walking dogs) please help.
5 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoStem-and-Leaf Plot Help?
I have this math assignment and I was absent during the lesson, so I don't know a few things. The question is to make a stem-and-leaf plot with the following numbers: 83, 86, 87, 87, 89, 91, 93, 94, 97, 97, 97, 101, 101, 107, 107 and 111. I'm not sure if, for the three-digit numbers, I should put the first 2 numbers in the stem column or if i should put only the first number in the stem column and the rest in the leaf column. Help please???

I have this race at school coming up, and I wanted to have an energy drink before the race since I always get tired really fast. I only wanted to drink it before the 2 practice sessions and the actual race. I don't intend to become an addict, though. Will it be bad for me? Is a Tab Diet better than Red Bull??
