  • 1500 Myanmar Kyat to USD?

So, after cleaning out my closet, I found a bit of foreign currency. After doing a bit of Googling, I found out the 1500 Myanmar Kyat I found was worth about $230 USD. Can anyone confirm this?

  • Would $150 or so be a reasonable price for an unlocked iPhone 3G?

Right now, I have an extra iPhone 3G, used and unlocked, in good condition with next to no scratches and such. I want to ask; is $150 a reasonable price to sell it at? If necessary, I'm flexible changing the price up and down a bit.

  • Foreign language classes requirements in college for deaf people?

So, currently I'm in my freshman year in high school. Seeing as I'm deaf, I just want to see if colleges that require language courses to enroll make exceptions if the student is deaf or has some other issue with learning a foreign language. Right now, I have a Spanish class, but it's not working out too well for me, so I'm considering dropping out when this semester ends in January or so.

  • Would an i3-2100 be good for moderate gaming?

I know CPUs aren't the most important parts in a gaming system (For the record, I'll be getting a GeForce 550 Ti and 6GB of RAM in my build, or something similar), so would an i3-2100 suffice for gaming?

Mostly, I'd be playing stuff like Portal 1 and 2, HL2, Limbo, and some newer games like BF3 and Skyrim when they come out.

  • Price I should sell Compaq DC9700 at?

I have several computers, and I have a HP Compaq DC9700 which I'm thinking about selling. The DC9700 has a Core 2 E8400, a 250GB 7200RPM hard drive, 2GB of DDR2, a CD/DVD burner, a 240W PSU, and a motherboard with an integrated GMA X4500. Case is a small form factor one. The system is in quite good condition. Would you say that $300-350 is a reasonable price for it, or should I raise or lower the price a little?

  • Trying to fix friend's PSP, need some help?

So, my friend's PSP doesn't work quite right (and for the record, it's a white PSP 2000). The main problem is that it normally won't turn on unless the AC adapter is plugged in, and when it does turn on (under AC power), it only stays on for like 5 minutes at a time.

I checked the battery on my own PSP, the battery works fine as far as I can tell, but my own PSP battery doesn't work in my friend's PSP. Not sure what exactly the problem is, can anyone tell me what it is and how to fix it? Firmware is 6.20 OFW, I believe, if that helps any.

  • Would a Radeon HD 6570 be good for moderate gaming?

Going to upgrade my GPU sometimes soon, thinking about getting a 6570. I'm not too much of a gamer, but I will be playing games like Portal 2, Sims 3, Skyrim when it comes out, StarCraft 2, and Deus Ex Human Revolution occasionally. Would this graphics card have enough power to run most of these games at medium to high settings?

  • Best graphics card to go with a 300w processor?

Currently, I have a entry-level system which I got about a year ago (Pentium E5700 @ 3GHz, 2 gigs of DDR3, integrated GMA X4500 for graphics, and a 300w PSU), and I'm looking to upgrade the graphics so I can play newer games. I'm not too much of a hardcore gamer, most of the newer games I want to play would be things like Portal 2 and SC2. Currently, the system can play games like Portal and HL2 without much problem, but I want it to play newer games. My main limitation for getting a new graphics card is my 300w power supply. Are there any somewhat decent graphics cards out there that could play the games that I mentioned above at low to medium settings, and will work fine with a 300w power supply?

  • Which of these four processors would give me the best bang for the buck, gaming-wise?

Thinking about building a budget gaming computer, narrowed down to 4 processor choices, I'll be getting a motherboard with correct socket type to go with the processor. 2 are Intel, and 2 are AMD. Personally, I prefer Intel, but I'm looking at AMD processors as options to save a bit of cash. My choices:

    Intel Pentium E5800 (Dual-core, 3.2GHz), $74.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

    Intel Core i3-2100 (Dual-core, 3.1GHz), $125.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

    AMD Phenom II X2 555 (Dual-core, 3.2GHz), $88.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

    AMD Phenom II X4 955 (Quad-core, 3.4GHz), $130

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

In the end, I'd probably get the i3 or the X4 for the power, but I'm still looking at the other ones to save some cash. I'm a moderate gamer, not a hardcore gamer, but I'll still be gaming quite a bit, usually stuff like Portal 2, Skyrim (When it comes out), SC2, and probably some newer games. I'll probably be getting a GTX 550 Ti with the build, if anyone needs to know.

  • Which would be the best media device for me?

I'm considering getting a media device (such as a Roku, Boxee, Apple TV, etc etc), but am unsure which one to get. There are a few things that I'll be looking for in such media devices, as well:

USB connectivity, since I keep a LOT of media on my external hard drive, and I'll want to access that.

Plenty of file format support, since my media on the external hard drive have many varying file formats. Plus .srt compatibility, since I'm deaf, so I generally need subtitles.

Wireless access (Pretty sure most media devices have this, but still saying it anyway) since my TV setup is nowhere near an Ethernet port and I'll be streaming a good amount of Netflix.

Reasonable price (preferably $100ish or below, maximum $200)

So, any suggestions for media devices that would be good for me?

  • Kindle's screen broke, considering getting a Nook.?

So, my Kindle's (3rd generation, Wi-Fi only) screen broke (unsure how, it wasn't being mistreated in any way). This is the second time something like this has happened, so I'm considering getting a Nook instead of getting Amazon to replace the Kindle again. I don't really have too many books on the Kindle, and if I want to read them, I can just convert them using a program like Calibre, or just use the Kindle for PC application. So, should I get another replacement Kindle (costs about $60 or so), or get a new Nook ($140)?

  • mp3tubetoolbar site keep appearing as homepage?

I am one of several users on my computer (and an admin). Apparently all of the users have had a problem with their Firefox homepage being changed to mp3tubetoolbar.com, and even if we change the homepage it just reverts to mp3tubetoolbar after a restart. Is there any way to prevent this? Can't find an uninstall for it, which is also a problem.

  • How much power do I need for this video card?

I'm considering a new video card, a Radeon HD 6670 (This one, to be exact: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8... ). It doesn't provide power requirements, but one of the reviews says that it can run on a 300W power supply. Is this correct or not? Just want to check and make sure I don't need to upgrade my power supply before I get it, if I get it.

  • Flash Professional vs Builder vs Catalyst?

I want to create Flash content. There are apparently 3 different programs that Adobe has related to Flash. Can someone explain what the differences between them are, and which one is best for creating Flash content?

  • My friend thinks he has a keylogger on his computer?

So, my friend thinks he has a keylogger on his computer. If he does, then the keylogger is most likely posing as a Runescape gold generator, several of which my friend has downloaded lately. He believes it's a keylogger due to his Runescape account being hacked, and then the password being changed repeatedly even after he changes it back. (He doesn't use the gold generator program after changing passwords, as far as I know.)

My question is: Is this actually a keylogger, or just the generator program taking his account credentials? He's scanned his computer with Avast! (free version), Norton 360, and Spybot Search&Destroy. None of them have turned up any keyloggers.

  • 3GB on flash drive unaccounted for?

My flash drive (an ADATA S102, 16GB with 14.7GB available) has 3.03GB of space that is unaccounted for. When I check the flash drive's properties in My Computer, it says that 5.98GB of space is used, but when I select everything on the flash drive (With hidden and system files viewable) and check the properties, it says that it only uses 2.95GB.

    1) What happened to the 3.03 GB missing?

    2) I can probably get it back by formatting it, but is there an easier way? Sorry, I'm kind of lazy lol.

  • How large a graphics card would an Inspiron 560 accommodate?

So, I have an Inspiron 560, and I'm considering upgrading from my integrated graphics controller. I'm just not sure as to how much space there is to install a new card. I would check it myself if I weren't using it right now, and I'd probably be too lazy to do so anyway.

  • Looking for a new graphics card.?

So, I'm looking at a new graphics card. Currently, I'm using my integrated graphics controller (a Intel GMA X4500 to be exact), which works with most games at low to medium settings, high if it's a older game. Anyway, I want a new graphics card that can run more recent titles (such as Portal 2, StarCraft 2, Brink, etc etc) at high settings. My computer is a Inspiron 560 with a 300W power supply that can be upgraded to a more powerful power supply if necessary.

So, for the graphics card, what should I get? Something under $150 (graphics card only), the cheaper the better, but I still want to have enough power to run the games I want to run at high settings. And nothing way too bulky too; my computer can handle something around the size of 8.5" long or less.

  • Can you edit .mobi files?

So, I got some free books off of sites such as Project Gutenberg and such. When I read them on the computer or on my e-reader (3rd-gen Kindle, Wifi only), they aren't formatted properly. Is it possible to edit .mobi files to correct formatting and the like?

  • Portal 2 crashes my computer?

So, my computer crashes when I try to run Portal 2. Usually, I get an error along the lines of "display driver has stopped responding and has recovered", and sometimes a BSOD. I'm pretty sure my computer meets the requirements for Portal 2, although I'm not sure if my integrated graphics chipset is good enough for it. It has run in the past at least once without crashing. Usually, it'll open, but just when it's almost done loading whatever level, it crashes. Anyone able to help me out?

    And my specs:

    Dell Inspiron 560

    2GB of DDR3 1333 RAM

    Pentium Dual-Core E5700 @ 3.00GHz

    Integrated Intel GMA X4500 graphics

    320GB 7200RPM HDD
