  • Does long term use of hyrdrocodone show in your system?

I've asked before, but I can not find a an answer that caters to my situation.

I've struggled with addiction for 7 months. Addiction in my case is one per day for those 7 months. When I found out we had an upcoming drug test at work, I immediately stopped. I was 8 days clean before I was tested for a 9 panel urine test. The anxiety is killing me and I can say I've already learned a lesson.

Does anyone know if the long term use of my problem will show up after 8 days clean?

  • Drug testing? Pass or fail?

I have been taking hydrocodone for 7 months, 1 each day. If I have been clean of it for 8 days, will it show on a drug test?

I'm of small stature and have a small frame.

  • A question about hydrocodone for those who won't judge...?

I have been taking these unprescribed, 1 a day for several months now. I stopped 8 days ago and was drug tested today. I have done numerous research that it leaves the body after 2-4 days.

Can anyone confirm? Please, valid answers. Thank you for understanding!

  • I live with an abusive boyfriend but...?

I am in a difficult situation. First off, I am 25 years old and work full time making a little over 28,500/year (1600/month) and I have a beautiful one year old son who is my world.

I have been with my "fiance" for 6 years. We have been living together now for a total of 3 years. We are a typical, middle to low class family in a fairly nice home in a safe neighborhood and drive fairly nice cars. You would think we are a nice young family making it by just fine.

The problem is that over the past few years, he has become verbally abusive, throwing words like f***ing *unt and little b**tch. When our baby was born, he would not hesitate to push me, throw me on the floor to choke me, pull my hair, slap m upside the head, or throw things at me. The thing is, the abuse has never left significant marks on me for anyone to believe me if I called the cops. Also, it doesn't happen all the time, I'd say about once every 5-6 weeks.

Recently, I've had it. He grabbed my face so hard that my teeth slit the inside of my mouth and I bled. When I spit out the blood, he said, "gross!" and made fun of the way I was talking because my lip was so puffy and hurting. It's a small slit and no one can see it. He has not done significant enough damage to me to be hospitalized. If I called the cops, they would probably think the situation is ridiculous and he may get probation or just ordered to get anger management classes.

Since I work full time, I have to put my baby in daycare. The cost of daycare and paying rent on my salary alone is what is keeping me from living on my own. I want to find a 2 bedroom apartment to rent so badly, but with the cost of daycare, I will not be able to afford to live on my own without my son's father's income. With his income and mine, we are financially stable. Without his income, I can't make it on my own. I have nowhere else to go but here.

I won't qualify for certain assistance programs so that I have enough money to pay rent for my own place. I perhaps would qualify for childcare assistance, which could get me to living on my own without a second income. I know I will have to look into that.

Although he is an awful, abusive partner, he does take care of our baby and we would split custody and he will pay for our baby's needs, so I can not go after him for child support.

So my question is; Does anyone know of any programs who help pay for independent housing for women with children, other than shelters or group homes? I want so bad to get out of here, but I am so scared that I will lose my way of life I will lose my sanity, then lose my job.

I'm so distraught. I was thinking about calling the Domestic Violence Hotline, but I'm so nervous about this whole situation and taking the next steps.

  • Earth Science experts!...what's supposed to happen to earth when the sun, moon, and earth align?

I heard this is supposed to happen soon, causing massive earthquakes and tidal waves. Any truth to this?

  • My baby was breach the while 9 months and now I have some concerns :/?

My baby is now a week and a half old. I was almost 2 weeks late when I had to have a C-section. The ultrasound showed that my baby was breach. I'm a person of small stature, so my baby didn't have much room in my belly.

After he was born, the Pediatrician noticed the shape of my baby's head looks "funny." X-rays came back normal, but I notice he kinks his head to one side. If I try to straighten it, it feels like his neck is going to break.

I have an appointment for a Specialist about this, but it's not until September.

Has anyone had a breach baby before or any issues with your baby's formation? Does this stuff work itself out as the baby gets older? I'm worried he will have a physical deformity that will prevent him from a normal life :(

  • I need advice for hair colors? Opinions please?

I have goldish-light brown hair. I was thinking of putting dark brown low-lights instead of highlights.

    Thoughts on this look?

  • No air conditioning in my car, what do I try next to fix it?

My car blows out warm air in the summer when I blast the A/C. I spent $50 today on Arctic Freeze, which was recommended by numerous people.

My car stills blows out warm air :(

What could be wrong with it? Do I have to take my car in the shop and spend hundreds? Or is there something else I can try?

  • Good songs for camping in the woods?

The kind of music I have in mind are songs from ZZ Top, CCR, George Thorogood, and The Doors. I have some country, too, but I'm not too big on it.

Any other ideas that I can add to our campfire list?

  • Anyone have original ideas for baby shower games?

I want to have my shower with a mix of new and old co-workers, as well as my friends of course.

Since there's going to be a lot of people who don't know each other, I wanted to come up with ideas for games that will have everyone laughing and comfortable around each other.

I looked up the Baby Shower 101 website, but I'm hoping someone can give me some more original ideas. They can be goofy, raunchy, silly, etc...

  • Did the tsunami hit the West Coast and Hawaii, or are they in the clear?

Maybe I'm just not good at research. I couldn't find anything about it other than warnings from this afternoon.

I saw on the news this morning it was supposed to hit the west coast by 11:00 am and noon. I just want to know if everyone on that side of the country and Hawaii is evacuated safely and if the tsunami hit like it was predicted. If so, how bad? :/

  • Is this normal for a pregnancy?

I'm 21 weeks, just found out I'm having a boy!

My question isn't so much about the pregnancy then it is the doctors...

My doctor's office does regular check-ups and ultrasounds in separate facilities, so I have to schedule 2 appointments each month.

At the doctor's office, I have gotten blood work done for down syndrome and spina bifida. (3 weeks ago, haven't gone to the doc since then yet)

This Monday, I got my ultrasound. Everything looked good and normal from what the sonographer saw. But I get a voicemail today from the Physicians Assistant telling me she wants to discuss my ultrasound results. ( I called back but didn't get in touch)

Why are they calling me for results? If everything were normal, wouldn't they not call me at all? I can't wait for tomorrow, I need peace of mind tonight! Is it policy that they call about ultrasounds no matter good or bad?

  • What's wrong with me? Pregnant with flu/ strep throat symptoms; negative results?

For 2 days I've been experiencing these symptoms; (18 weeks pregnant)

pain in my ears, a little when I swallow

    coughing

    sore throat

    watery eyes

    shortness of breath

    stuffy nose

    increased fatigue

feels like air is going through my body, but no aches

I went to urgent care, got negative results on the flu and strep throat. They also ruled out any bacterial infections. Regardless of my breathing, I have enough oxygen and there's no excess fluid. Not to mention, I have a double-whammy...UTI results came up negative, but urinating hurts!

I'm seeing my on/gyn the end of this week, but just wondering until then if anyone has insight to what's wrong with me?

  • What is a Uromastyx Egypticus like as a pet?

My fiancee and I want to get some kind of lizard for our new place. I love bearded dragons, but Uros are so much more rare and different.

They're just awesome creatures. Are they hard to keep up with? Do they die easily? Would you like to have one as a pet?

  • Is America at risk of losing Israel as an alli?

I try to pay attention to politics as much as possible.

I know very well what's going on with Egypt, and how its protests will negatively affect the U.S. with the sharia law coming to power.

..but I'm unaware if and/or how Egypt's uprising somehow will hurt our ties with Israel. I don't want this to be the case. I trust Israel as our Alli. They are fighting the same enemy as we are and they're not afraid to take action against them. I think the U.S. has been too soft on our enemies. (my opinion, I'm allowed to have it)

Please clarify where we stand with Israel?

  • What will happen if welfare becomes more limited?

For people who do not have a mental/physical disability, should't there be a time limit for welfare and stricter qualifications?

Here's what I think would happen if welfare wasn't a free for all:

1.Working people have more money on their paychecks, therefore, quality of life would improve

    2. The economy would improve b/c more people are making real paychecks and putting that money right back into the economy

    3. Unemployment will go down

    4. One bad thing...riots in the streets

I have seen this system abused to the point I'm disgusted that people who CHOOSE not to work make the close to what I do.

Am I right or am I missing something here?

  • Has anyone read the article, "The Terrible Towel Is Terribly Stupid"?

This guy sickens me. He's taking his hatred on a sports team out on an entire city. Not that I wanna give this guy any credit for talking about him, but for Pittsburgers, defending the Terrible Towel is like defending the United States flag. Loyalty stays within the country and the city.

He continues to write how stupid the towel is when he has no idea the real meaning behind it. It was created to raise money for a school that specializes in needs of children and adults who are mentally retarded. It raised $3 million dollars. How's this quack going to insult something that is not only tradition to a loyal city, but a tradition based on a good cause?

Whether or not you're a Steelers fan, could you agree this guy can't write an educated article with facts to back it up? Or is he still wetting his pants about the Titans loss to the Steelers? (apparently he's from TN)

  • Does pregnancy have anything to do with this...?

For the past week and a half, I've been experiencing the most annoying pain in the back side of my head.

It's not an ache, it's a constant pounding pressure. This is a funny description, but it feels like there's some extra weight on that side of my head. It hurts so bad!

I'm 4 months pregnant. I don't have blurred vision or dizziness or anything like that.I've never had an issue with headaches. I'm always paranoid about the worst though. I'm freaking out it could be a serious neurological disorder or something of that nature.

Anyone experience this while pregnant or just in general?

  • Is Rock and Roll really dead? :(?

The music industry is taken over by artists like Drake, Katie Perry, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Kesha, etc..

My opinion is the music is completely talentless along with the lyrics and singing voices.

Rock bands who were big a decade ago are still coming out with new songs, but NONE of them are near as good as the ones on their first albums.

I miss when bands like Godsmack, Disturbed, Stone Temple Pilots, Fuel, Korn, Seether, Chevelle, Mudvayne, etc.. were big and had hits.

On radios, all the rock stations play that older music that I love, but I'm wanting something new. Are there really no more rock bands putting out music that is like the ones I mentioned above?
