I repair simple issues with notebooks and laptops. But now I'm stumped. I have a Dell Latitude E6420. When I energize the unit, I get a few small parallel lines across the top of the lcd in blue and yellow. I also get a vertical line or two of the same colors. I replaced the harness and checked the connections. I suspect that the problem is the video card but not sure. The service tag number is CZ0R1Q1.

Any ideas folks?

I purchased the phone and made the mistake of not recognizing the brand. Now I need the unlock codes and procedures. Can someone please help.

I have a Dell Optiplex type desktop from about 2006. It has an Intel board and chipset (P4, 3.0 MHz). The BIOS is password locked. I need to find an alternative way to unlock the password or perhaps a hardware modification.

This is very technical so don't answer unless you really understand this issue. I'm a hardware engineer and even I don't have all the answers.

My son's XBox hard drive began making the unusual clicking noise which means that the read/write laser arm is damaged. I want to replace the hard drive but I'm not sure if I can just use a "regular" Western Digital hard drive? Or, does it require a special hard drive especially made for this unit?

Good news, I'm a computer tech and fixing it is real simple...just don't know if the drive is compatible.

My son's and a daughter are participating in the Greater Los Angeles Parks Youth Basketball program. They compete in age divisions between 6 and 12 years of age. All of the gymnasium floors are both worn and dusty making the floors constantly slippery.

I know that the hard bottomed sneakers are out because they can not grip the floor. So I'm looking for an athletic shoe, soft bottom, specifically for basketball and perhaps for volleyball.

Give me some recommendations.

I have a small set of great quality latex only paint brushes. Maybe once a year I soak them in brush cleaner and give them a good cleaning. But now I'm tired of spending $10 for a small quart of brush cleaner. Is there not a better way? Any suggestions guys!

I have a pair of speakers that were built between 1955 - 1974 by Gene Czerwinski; the known founder and engineer of Cerwin-Vega. Perhaps as some believe, he is the father of modern acoustics.

The large mid-range speaker is an Electo-Voice Michigan MC-12. The tweeter is a Jensen, with a generic distributor. The case is made of particle board, the inside insulated with home insulation, and a teed type grill. The speaker itself was well constructed with unbelievable attention to detail.

Given the Michigan speaker and the rest of the items....what date do you think it was built?

So...when I go to print a document in Word or any software, it prints without any issue. However, when I receive a document that had been emailed, I download it and when I go to print, I get nothing! Even if I save the download and subsequently ope it and try to print, it goes through the motions with the printer software, and it "sends" the document to the printer, it does not print.

I do get a microsoft error message. but with no help.

Has anyone else had this issue and how was it resolved?

Do they no longer educate girls in school in Health Education or Physical Education? Half of the question on this site are easily answered with sex ed and the basics of reproduction!
