  • WTC site engineering questions?

I live here in NYC and was doing some math. Something like 5 billion dollars was spent on the WTC site so far. By any account it is a big hole but I think we are being cheated. I think you and I can dig a bigger hole for $5 million. Anyhow follow me through here.

    Now for the math

Take a guy with a shovel. It will take him about 3 minutes to fill a 5 gallon bucket with dirt. Assume that is 1 cubic foot. Assume $20 per hour. That would make it $1 per cubic foot.

    Follow me through on this.

5 billion dollars would be 5 billion cubic feet. OK, take away 30% for lawyers and other fees would still make it about 3.3 billion cubic feet.

The hole is about 500 feet by 500 feet

By my calculations the hole should be about 2 1/2 miles deep by now

And this is making the assumption that about 1.67 billion dollars was stolen.

    Where am I going wrong?

Freedom tower, WTC, etc... are a bad choice of names. I think better to name it Joseph Mobutu construction site or Sani Abacha World Financial center.

    Any thoughts?

  • Tattoo of girl of my dreams?

I met this girl last week that is truly amazing. She is the woman I will marry. To show how much I love her I was considering tattooing her name on my face or neck. Now before you say I am foolish, consider that I have thought it through. So what do you think would impress her more? On my right cheek or on my neck. I was going to do it in plain black old english font because that is truly original.

  • thinking of opening a supermarket but EBT only?

I have an opportunity to open a supermarket in Ridgewood, Queens. However I am concerned with employee theft. I as considering opening but on a EBT/food stamp only basis. We will not accept cash. Only food stamps. COnsidering in this neighborood approximately 95% of the people are on welfare I think it would be successful. The only drawback I can forsee is we will not be able to have a license for beer or lottery tickets. Any advice? Maybe only accept cash for beer and lottery tickets? That is the only thing people here spend cash money on anyhow.

  • Osama bin Laden Law School scholarship?

If Obama bin Ladin really wanted to cause pain to Americans, wouldn't it made sense for him to set up a law school scholarship? $100 million dollars would put 1000 students through law school. 1000 extra lawyers will create far more misery then even 50 WTC disasters. Any opinions?

Is there an educational requirement? Someone told me that if you have more than 6th grade reading proficiency that it is illegal to get a neck tattoo. Is it true?

  • How to tell if a Chinese restaurant is Snakehead/Mafia/Triad Owned/Controlled?

I'm a big fan of Chinese cuisine. It is the most diverse cuisine on Earth

I would estimate maybe 1% of Chinese restaurants in the US are truly independent (and WOOOOW). The rest are are mafia controlled.

I suspect it is all a front and the workers are indentured, working off their 'immigration fees'
