  • How did the Republican debate go in South Carolina?

I don't have Fox News and wasn't able to watch the debate. I'd appreciate your serious, honest opinions on how all of the candidates did in the debate. I'm not looking for any candidate to be bad-mouthed or put on a pedestal. I just want honest opinions from other citizens because I don't want to simply rely on the news media's take on it. Thank you.

  • For Ron Paul supporters.....?

I'm hopeful that Ron Paul can win the Presidency and while I think that he can win, I don't think he will win. Two reasons: first, I believe that too many people continue to vote for the lesser of two evils rather than actually voting their conscious, including people who vote for "front-runners" because they don't want a Democrat or because they don't want a Republican. Second, I think too many people in this country are too dependent upon the government to do everything for them, rather than taking personal responsibility to do what they can for themselves. So, to Ron Paul supporters, I have a two-part question:

1 - Do think Ron Paul CAN win or do you think he WILL win?

2 - Is the possibility that his campaign will lay the foundation for a shift in the country back towards the Constitution and individual liberty more important that him winning the Presidency?

My answers: 1 - CAN win, 2 - Yes, the foundation he's potentially laying is more important.

  • Reasons for Ron Paul?

I want to know what your reasons are for supporting or not supporting Ron Paul? And telling me that he's a loonatic or a nutjob will not suffice, I want real reasons like if your political position is different from his and how?

I'll start: I support Ron Paul and will vote for him for President in 2008. I like that he supports our 2nd Amendment rights, is against the North American Union (which I believe is an attack on our national sovereignty), is against domestic spying programs and legislation such as the Patriot Act that gives the government permission to invade our privacy, and wants to make our money worth something again by backing it with gold, silver, etc.

I welcome all different opinions and political perspectives. Please do not insult anyone for their political beliefs!
