Can someone help me understand copyright law as it applies to digital media? Let's say I have a Harry Potter DVD that I bought from Amazon. What is it that I own the rights to? The disc or what's on it?

Can I make a copy of the disc for myself provided I don't charge people to view it or distribute it to anyone else? I thought so, but isn't it illegal to remove the digital rights management info that's on the disc?

I need some help editing a portrait and I'm just not good/patient enough with photoshop.

Since you’ve been in your relationship, how many of you have had a male friend see you in your underwear or less? Was it on purpose on an accident?

My husband and I disagree about the frequency of casual nudity between married friends. I have one male friend who saw me topless, and I believe that is much more rare than he does.

This is long but will help settle a debate between my husband and I. Consider the following story:

Sean & Jaclyn and Scott & Nicole are two couples in their mid-late 30’s, both with 2 younger children of about the same age. All four adults have been good friends for almost 20 years, sharing many stories and life-events. The families live about 2 hours apart in northern New England and see each other several times per year for some annual events, usually involving one overnight stay in either location. They have vacationed together as well. All 4 adults are friends with each other as are all 4 children. There is nothing unusual about any of the friendships or relationships.

During the late evening of one of the annual events, Sean, Jaclyn and Scott were up watching TV and talking about various topics, mutual friends, children, work, politics, education, what’s on the tube, etc. Nicole had already gone to bed as was customary during these events. No one is ever offended or thinks twice of it. Jaclyn often, but not always, also goes to bed early, leaving Sean and Scott, friends since middle school, alone to talk. This particularly evening, she stayed up to visit for a while longer.

Scott and Sean had each had 2-3 beers over the course of several hours, and Jaclyn had 2 glasses of wine during the same period. After a nice discussion, Jaclyn was the next to retire, especially when the TV was changed to mixed-martial arts, something she was not particularly interested in. So she went into the bathroom, changed into her night clothes, an ordinary t-shirt and athletic shorts, and came out to say goodnight.

Jaclyn stood for a moment, saying goodnight, and picking up some toys the children had left lying around, one item being a beaded necklace. Upon seeing this, Sean said jokingly “you can’t just take that, you have to earn those.” Jaclyn decided to call his bluff and lifted her shirt, exposing her boobs briefly to both men. They all laughed for a moment, then Jaclyn continued on to bed.

If you were Scott’s what is your opinion of Jaclyn after this incident?

a) You are horrified that Jaclyn would violate the plutonic terms of the friendship with an overt sexual act. You feel this violation negatively affects your friendship.

b) You think it’s a little weird, but laugh it off and think no more of it.

c) You enjoy the quick view, forget any weirdness, and given the innocence of the act make no moral judgment.

d) You appreciate the level of comfort and trust that Jaclyn showed in you. Regardless of whether you enjoyed the flash or thought it was weird, the act of sharing, on a non-sexual level, deepened your perspective on the friendship in a version of the one-of-the-guys sort of way.

e) It’s a complete non-issue and you do not think anything about it whatsoever.

I want to edit a photo of mine, I just don't have the skills and patience.

I've asked for Photoshop help, and have received good advice, but I don't have the patience or expertise. I am not a photographer, its a personal project.

how often are the actors really having sex? How do they make it look convincing without actually doing it?

How often do women flash you? My wife says it almost never happens, I disagree.

Have you been greeted by a naked person when bringing pizza to someone's house? I am wondering how often this dare really happens.

What if anything do you do in the bedroom for variety? My wife and I have been married for 11 years and are looking for ideas. We are open minded and somewhat adventurous, but are not interested in swinging or multiple partners.

I need the first (title) page unumbered, (the first two pages need to be unnumbered really, but since the second is supposed to be blank I can just slip that in later). The preface, acknowledgements, and table of contents need to be numbered with lower case Roman Numerals, and then the body needs standard numbers. I have Word, 2003 but do have acces to 2007 at work.

This is an annoying thesis requirement. The quick and easy solution would be to create seperate documents, but I am curious to know if there is a way to do this in a single doc.

Ideas? Thanks!
