food issue with dog in heat?
I have a Chihuahua who can't be spayed due to a congenital heart defect. The past day or so she hasn't really been interested in food. Could being in heat put her off her food?
Before anyone complains about BYB and puppymills, my family did not buy this dog. The neighbors bought her from a local puppy farm and gave her to my mother when they found out about the heart defect. She's very well cared for, it's just very dangerous for her to be put under for surgery.
4 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHammers Cobalt Blue Lobster?
I've always been fascinated with these little blue guy. My goal is to have a 50 gallon tank with one of these guys. Are there any fish I could put in with him? Or would the tank be too small or would he just eat all of the yummy fish?
I am not against having a dedicated tank if need be. Just exploring my options.

Today I wasn't feeling well and went back to bed until mid afternoon. I thought the husband fed the animals. He thought I had fed them. Poor starving animals act as though they have never eatten before in their lives.
When you realize that a mis-communication has happened an the animals have gone hungry what do you do? Feed them right away or make them wait until their next meal?
Personally, since my animals are all healthy, I make them wait.
3 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agoWhy don't the large chains of pet stores sell the high quality foods?
Why don't the chains like Petsmart and Petco sell the high quality foods like Innova? Wouldn't it make more sense for these foods to be widely available rather than having to hunt them down in feed stores and buy them online? One would think people would be more likely to feed good high quality food if it was readily available in an easy to find location.. I know that for a long time I fed my dogs relatively crappy food just because I didn't know where to FIND better stuff. For me, buying online has never been an option.
