Can anyone show me a good sad Japanese emoticon?
I love Japanese smileys but I can never find a good one for sadness. I know that there are some that you can type with special characters but I would love to have one I can use on my phone. Does anyone have any ideas?
1 AnswerOther - Electronics1 decade agoHow can i get my hair white?
all right so i have golden blonde hair (i'm not being conceited, that's just the color it is. like a deep gold though) and i just got some sections of my hair bleached. they're obviously a lighter blonde now but they just look like high lights and that's not what i wanted. i want the streaks to be noticeable, at the very least. I've been thinking of using the white out bleach from hot topic and not leaving it in for the whole time, just to get it lighter. any other suggestions?
oh, and my hair is like teflon. it refuses to hold any other dye, which is why i bleached it. and, even though its bleached, its still really soft and silky and according to my hairdresser i have really healthy hair. I don't know if that will help take the edge off the damage, but i figured it be easier for people to answer with the whole picture. :) thanks!
2 AnswersHair1 decade agoHow do you say no in japanese?
I know that the literal translation of no is "iie" (sorry for the startling lack of hiragana, I'm on a school computer) but I have never heard anyone actually say it. Is there another word the use? I know that dame is like "don't do that" but is there anything else? such as the translation of:
"Do you want to go to the store with me?"
"No."
arigato gozaimasu! (^v^)
3 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoCan anyone tell me what basic kanji i should know to read japanese?
i'm a high schooler but i'm trying to learn japanese. as you can guess, that's pretty difficult. i'm actually being taught by my foreign exchange student, and i have hiragana and katakana down pat. what i'm struggling on, though, are which kanji i should learn to get the most "bang for my buck," so to speak. is there a list that anyone can show me, or anything along those lines?
4 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhat does "ya" mean in Japanese?
i have heard this time and time again in animes, but no one has ever been able to give me a literal translation. i know that it vaguely means "no" but i have taken some japanese and know that "iie" means no, not "ya." some people say that it is just a slur of "iie" but it sounds a bit extreme to me.
