  • Which movie does this version of this song?

Song: On the sunny side of the street.

It's done in two or three part harmony, I recall a male and female voice at least. The defining tag is at the end where they sing: You're my little honey...I've got lots of money, on the sunny side (on the sunny side) of the streeeeet.

I won't be able to sleep till I figure out which movie does that version of the song. Please help.

  • I'm pregnant and presented with a dillema, thoughts and opinions?

First, the facts. I'm 28. Me and the father have been in love for 5 years though not together for the full length of that time. The past two years it's been a long distance relationship because he had to go back to his country to take care of his single mom. The plan has always been that I will follow him after I finish wrapping up business here.

The problem is I haven't yet. I'm financially unstable, still have about a year and a half left to finish paying off the debt I have here before I can move. I live with an aunt and her kids to cut on the costs and things are cramped as is, couldn't impose on her further. I can't live on my own cause that would mean taking longer to finish paying (which is something I insist doing on my own).

He's very supportive, he will be there for me no matter what, though his preference goes to my moving there and we'll deal with the struggle as it comes, because a child is a blessing. (He is financially far more stable than me atm). I want children with him....I'm just don't think that now would be the best time. At the moment I see two options. Abortion or moving there (I will not give a child of ours up for adoption and I won't be separated from our baby by sending it to him ahead of me). And the choice is balancing on 60% v 40% in favor of abortion.

I would like opinions from others who have been through a similar situation and how you coped, or possibly fresh insight?

If you plan on saying abortion is murder or any pro-life argument just for the sake of being such, please save your breath. It is neither appreciated nor will it be taken into consideration.

  • Ideas on what to do spending a birthday alone?

I'm 28 today (yay!) but through circumstances (it's monday, relatives abroad on vacation, no friends that live near by) I will be spending the day alone. Took the day off from work and trying to think of fun, interesting way to spend my birthday that won't remind me of the fact I'm alone every 5 minutes. I don't want to go see a movies or go shopping as these are regular activities that I won't really feel special doing. Help me out?

  • How do I make new friends?

I'm 27 in a (reasonably) new city. Never been able to make friends well although I'm well capable of keeping a conversation with a person. In fact, I love to talk. I'm just not into small talk. Mostly cause other peoples problems and daily goings on are mostly boring and I can only fake limited interest (would rather not have to fake anything at all cause people see right through that). Nor do I want to talk about myself that much cause I imagine the reverse is also true. Unless a deeper friendship has been established in which case I do genuinely care what the other person does. I've been trying to get along with the people at work but tbh it's just a job and I don't fit in too well there. Don't have the cash at the moment to take any interesting classes (or join a gym) where I can meet new people and going to a bar alone as a girl seems daunting (I'm looking for friends, not a hook up). So atm my life consists of home, then work, then home again. The few friends I do have live scattered around the country/planet and although we talk on the phone and/or the net, it's not like having someone to hang out with and go out with. So what can I do to make new friends? Suggestions are more than welcome.

  • Choosing between my mother and the man I love?

We've been in love for 4 1/2 years, have had our ups and downs, been with others and then gotten together again. Throughout it all we have always been there for each other. A year ago he moved back to his country of origin to help out his mother while I stayed in Europe to finish handling my business. Before he left he expressed a wish of seeing me as his wife, which I would love more than anything. Throughout the year we've called each other every week, send each other mountains of texts and haven't seen other people. Although we are both from the Caribbean, we're from different islands. His mother will not move, he's an only child and he's made the decision to build his life there. I would join him there in a heartbeat if not for my mother.

They get along well, but my mother expects me to go home and live on my home island. In her opinion it's the man who should move for the woman. My father passed away 5 years ago and she's lonely, never fully recovered from it. I've tried to warm her up to the idea of moving with me but she won't budge. I have a sister who will eventually move back to the island (she's currently in Europe as well) but she treats mom like **** and I can't count on her to do the right thing. The travel fees between these two islands are such that it won't allow more than 2 visits a year. I don't want to give up my love but I don't want my mother to live in solitude either. If anyone has ideas or advice, they're very welcome.

  • Top contributor categories definition question?

When trying to become a Top contributor on Yahoo answers, how are the categories separated. If I answer a bunch of questions under Hardware in general but Hardware is subdivided into a bunch of subcategories, would my answers count as in one category (Hardware), or would it count as if I've been answering in (too) many categories? If that was a bit unclear, Would I have to focus my energy on the end of a chain of categories or is answering in one of the higher up categories suffice?

  • Why can't I set up a yahoo answers account?

My sister has an old yahoo account she wanted to use to set up yahoo answers. The account still exists as she can log into yahoo just fine. After setting some security questions and confirming a new email account she came to the answers page. On the top left hand corner you can see her name as logged in and at the spot where you usually see who is logged in and your total points + level theres a Get Started link. Clicking on the link prompts the yahoo login screen to fill in the password. After filling in the password the same screen pops up with no indication that anything (password or login name) is wrong. Filling in the password again just keeps you in the same loop.

Anyone know how to fix this?

  • More RAM or faster RAM?

My system has been running on 2x1 gb 800 MHz + 2x512 mb 667 MHz DDR2 RAM (running on 667 ofc) for a while now. I've done some system upgrades recently (my RAM is now the weakest point in my system) and a friend who did the same gave me his "old" RAM sticks, 2x2 gb 1066 MHz DDR2. I'm running a 64 bit windows 7 so I don't have to worry about the 4 gb memory cap. And my motherboard won't support anything higher than 1066 MHz anyway. So my question is as follows:

Should I use the 4 gb 1066 MHz RAM and leave it at that, or should I use the new and old ram to a total of 6 gb running at 800 MHz. Size over speed?

I'm a big multitasker. At the low end I'll have a browser with multiple tabs open, play music and seed torrents. On the high end I'll be playing games with ventrillo running, still with the multiple tabs, the torrents and the music, possibly with a messenger running as well.

  • Windows installer keeps displaying different language...?

My OS (Windows Vista) is in english. Every program I install I default to english. The only thing that is not set default to english is my location and currency values (for timezone purposes). Despite all this, whenever the default windows installer is used to install a program, it's in Dutch. For aesthetic reasons this is tearing me up cause I can't for the life of me imagine why it would default to a language that was never set or chosen in the first place. If anyone knows how to change this, would greatly be appreciated.

  • Am I creating a CPU bottleneck situation?

Currently running an AMD X2 4200 (2.2 GHz) with a 512 Mb Geforce 8400 GT GPU and 3 Gb DDR2 RAM on XP. I figured my graphics card could do with some updating so I'm getting a Geforce 275 GTX card. I have a strong enough power supply to support this setup but I'm wondering if the cpu will now cause a bottleneck for gaming. Also, if it is, any suggestions for an affordable upgrade (not the latest and greatest but something that will be able to go along for at least two more years, if not more).

  • I want to upgrade my system for World of Warcraft...suggestions?

I play World of Warcraft and the game plays smoothly enough, my speccs exceed the recommended requirement. However, lately I've been thinking of upgrading my system, mostly because of addon overload. I don't have loads of cash to spend though so I can only choose one.

    Relevant System Speccs:

AMD X2 Dual Core 4200+ Mhz

    3 Gb DDR2 RAM

    Nvidia 8500 GT

Currently running XP but have the option to install Vista.

My mobo supports the newest phenom quad cores, up to 16 Gb 1066 Ram and has a PCIe slot. So for better performance should I go with more RAM, upgrade my processor or just update my graphics card? Please give your suggestion and if possible, why.

  • Is going back to college worth it?

I'm 15 credits short of graduating as a medical lab technician. Did my related internships, final project and presentation, just have a few classes from my 3rd and 2nd year that I didn't pass. The last time I even touched a book (around the time of my final project) was 2 years ago. I don't want to work in that field, which is part of why I dropped out (should have sooner, but didn't have the guts to because everyone keeps saying you need a college degree and finish what you start).

Now, after a few years of near manic depression and therapy, I'm 27 and ready to get back out there. However I lack a degree by a few points and have tried low level jobs but find that they're unchallenging and I'm tempted to fall back into the same cycle of depression and lethargy. Is it worth going back to college at my age, still not having a clear idea of what I want, just to get a degree, any degree, in order to continue trying to find it out? Or am I just too old and I should just look for alternative ways to get out of the slump. And if I do go back to college, is there any such thing as an "all purpose" degree that you can use when you STILL don't know what you'd like to do or do you really just have to pick something and hope for the best....

  • Is wearing a white and black dress to a wedding appropriate?

My dress is leopard print black (40% + trimmings) and white (about 60%) and I'd wear it with a black belt, black sandals and colorful accents. The cut is tasteful (strapless, just over the knee with kind of a bell shaped skirt) but I'm wondering of etiquette dictates I should wear something with no white in it so it won't seem like I'm trying to compete with the bride. It's the most flattering item I own atm, but I wouldn't want to be rude and may be able to make other arrangements.
