  • what is the vertical gray bar on the right side of my email page?

    actually, i just found out what it is. it's a breaking news report. it appeared and slid out to identify itself when i clicked "continue" to finish posting this question. the message "wait, we may already have the answer" appeared above it. it's a vertical gray bar with five dots.

    now, how do i get rid of it? yahoo "help" is (as ever) no help at all. it's still on this page as i type, but it's just the edge of a shadow; not so bothersome. but on my email page, it's the full bar and it's annoying. i don't like it. anybody know what to do about this?

    i have classic yahoo mail.

    i do wish yahoo would stop making unannounced changes.
