  • How can I make my swimming sessions more productive?

    I've recently started exercising in an effort to lose weight (need to lose about 40kg) and tone up. As part of a broader program where I exercise 45mins to 1hr per day, I am swimming one to two days per week for 45+mins. I am enjoying the swimming, but I want to make sure that it is giving me some benefit, I'm not a strong swimmer so tend to stick to breast stroke and some freestyle.

    Is there anything you can suggest to increase resistance in the water, or make me work harder in the pool? Would flippers make things harder, or easier? What about a kick board, or hand flippers?
