  • New Comcast DVR has error message s0a00?

I just got a new DVR from Comcast. I set it up (I'm pretty sure I did it correctly) and activated it (again, I'm pretty sure it's activated correctly), but every channel says "To be announced" and I'm getting the error code "S0a00" (every channel says it will be available shortly). I've had this error message for about a day now. I've tried unplugging everything and I've called Comcast three times. They've reset my box twice now. I'm trying to call again to set up an appointment, but the hold time is two hours. Any tips?

  • What do you think the wizarding community in Harry Potter does with people who have been kissed by dementors?

Do they just leave them somewhere, like maybe in a room in St. Mungo's? And then they just sit there until they die? Obviously they'd have to be fed and all that, but otherwise, they wouldn't need much care. Or do you think it's like being brain dead, where you can survive with the help of machines but you're not really you, so they just let you die? But in that case, how do they kill the victims? It seems a little harsh to just use the Killing Curse. And there's a difference between letting someone die and purposely killing them, too.

  • Are you more afraid of the dark, fire, heights, or small spaces?

And why? My very first thought was fire, because that can obviously hurt you, whereas things like the dark are really just psychological. But then I thought that overcoming the dark might actually be worse, because it's more of an emotional, mental problem, which I think are harder to overcome than something tangible. I mean, things like monsters and bad guys are scary, but at least you know what you're dealing with. With emotional things, the problem can be harder to solve because you don't even know what the problem is. I dunno, what do you think?

  • Por or para for Spanish homework?

My Spanish homework is to translate a couple of sentences and they involve using por or para. I wasn't sure which to use for a few of them.

Our neighbors will recycle those bottles over there for money.

This cardboard will be for our neighborhood.

Those chemicals that were in this lake are bad for our health.

I already translated them. I just want to check my work on the por/para. If you could give a reason for why you chose por or para that would be good.

  • I need help on a crossword for history...?

It's about the Renaissance. The clue is "to be secular is to be more focused on this world than the spiritual world." It's 8 letters. The third letter is a "t" and the seventh letter is an "a". Like this:

    _ _ t _ _ _ a _

    thanks!

  • What do you think of Mockingjay?

The third Hunger Games? I thought it was horrible. Part of it is because I wanted her to end up with Peeta. But not just that. Everyone dies, pretty much. But there's no emotion in the book. I felt nothing and didn't connect at all. And the writing itself is horrible. And everything is so confusing. I had to reread everything just to understand what she was trying to say. And even when she and Peeta get together in the end, there's no emotion there either. No happy, romantic reunion or anything. And she just completely forgets Gale. I think all the characters act ridiculously stupid. Mockingjay ruined the whole series for me. I hate the Hunger Games now.

I'm really not trying to rant here, just giving my side of the story. What does everyone else think? Did you like the book?
