I'm 18. I love working on cars...even if I'm no professional. I love driving. I'm also really into sports and working out. That's all there is to know about me, really...
C++ Help? Anyone? I'm in trouble.?
Well, not really. But I'm really lost. Okay, so, my issue is...
I've got a file of numbers I've uploaded into an array. However, I need to figure out how to sum up the values in the array, as well as display the total number of objects in the array. Anyone who can tell me how to script both of these? Thanks much...
Oh, btw. The array file is loaded into and stored in 'x[]'. If you could include that in the script to give me an idea of where I'm going, it'd be appreciated.
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoAnyone with C++ experience...help?
Okay, so I have to write a program for my programming class, and it's pretty straight-forward. But there's one detail I can't get my mind around.
The idea behind the program is to take the "orders" of each "customer."
There are two "while" loops running: one for the customers, and another for the items.
For example, one of them is while (anotherCustomer).
My question is, how do I get the program to add up the number of times the anotherCustomer loop was run and display it as something such as, "Total Customers today: Customer#"
Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, guys...
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoIntake for an 02 Maxima?
Hey everyone...just wondering if anyone could help me out.
Now, I'm not really looking for a huge performance upgrade. Just the nice, throaty sound you get out of a short ram/cold air intake. Anyone know of any universals for a good price that will fit a 5th gen (02) Maxima? Or would I just be better saving up for the $300+ Injen one? Thanks. =]
2 AnswersNissan1 decade agoQuestion about strut braces?
Okay, so, I'm looking at investing in a strut brace for my '02 Maxima. Question is, do the cheap ones you find on eBay (for around $30) perform as well as, say, a $150-200 Stillen strut brace? I mean obviously, you get what you pay for. But I'm not looking for a race car. Just some handling improvements.
Any thoughts?
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoGirlfriend cheated on me. How to handle it?
Yeah, okay, so...long story short. I need input from someone with a mite more dating experience than me, possibly.
My girlfriend went on a trip (with her family, oddly enough...) and while she was away, I trusted her to not get too involved with other guys. While she was gone, however, she decided to get a bit...tipsy...and as she claims, she was "taken advantage of" by a guy. I, however, find this difficult to believe, as I (and several of my friends) seem to be able to control ourselves under such influences.
I've always dated with the policy of "once a cheater, always a cheater." She apologized, trying to say she was really, truly sorry, etc, and I -TRIED- to forgive her, assuring her that I was done with her if it ever happened again. I don't know whether I should believe her, but now she almost seems to play it off as if nothing ever happened.
Any input as to what you think I should to with the situation would be greatly appreciated
25 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoFirebird headlamp grinding?
Okay, so this just happened out of nowhere, which I thought was kind of odd.
I just got home, and when I shut off my headlights, they went down like normal. However, when the left eyelid went down, the motor stayed on for about 5 seconds after the eyelid closed and kept grinding the gears inside the motor. Anyone had any experiences with this, and any ideas how to fix it? Is it possibly a bad actuator, or a bad relay in the switch...?
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoGift ideas for my girlfriend...?
Okay, so, I really need some help. My girlfriend's birthday is about four days away, and she wants me to make her something unique...and I've been trying to think of something for over 3 months. Any ideas of something I could make her that she might like? (Other than a scrap book..I already got one from her.)
11 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoYou guessed it...more subwoofer problems! Help?
Okay, so, being that the Monsoon system runs on two Ohms, and the subs are 4 Ohms, the aftermarket amp won't sync up with the factory amp, and is causing distortion when I turn my subs way up. If I run 2-to-4 Ohm resistors through my speaker wires will this help solve my problem? I'd really like to keep my factory head unit if at all possible...
3 AnswersCar Audio1 decade agoMore subwoofer problems...help?
Okay, so...here's the deal. I wired up my subs into my car (Trans Am, w/Monsoon) today, and when I flipped the ignition, it came on. However...it seems the amp is only getting a little bit of power. Just enough to make the "power" light come on faintly, but not enough to push the subs. My dad suggested a bad ground...any ideas?
4 AnswersCar Audio1 decade agoMonsoon audio system in Trans Am?
Okay, so, I was reading an article online the other day (as I want to have my subs installed in my Trans Am), and I read that the Monsoon sound system runs mostly 2 Ohm speakers. I should know this Ohms thing, but being me, I never paid attention in physics class...
What would be the safest way to install my subs (and a pair of 6.5" speakers)? Would my best bet just be to wire them in like I would in any other system?
3 AnswersCar Audio1 decade agoQuestion on underglow...?
I'm thinking about buying neons for my car, and I can't decide which would be better...LED or actual neon? I'd think the LEDs would be more durable and brighter, but I'm usually wrong...
Help me out?
Thanks
3 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoPS2 Online Gaming Wirelessly?
I have a USB card for my wireless internet. If I plug that into the USB port on my PS2, and setup my internet connection, is there any way that it would work? Thanks.
2 AnswersPlayStation1 decade agoBest place to buy carpeting for sub boxes?
I'm looking for places that I can drive to and pick it up. I don't want to order it offline...I have everything ready to go and don't want to wait on carpet. Any suggestions of stores that are fairly well-known that might be local to any area in general would be appreciated. And if all else fails, I guess an online store would work, too. Thanks.
3 AnswersCar Audio1 decade agoAnother question on my Firebird...?
Anyone have an idea where the best place to run a power wire for my amp from the engine compartment into the car would be? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
1 AnswerCar Audio1 decade agoFirebird Head Unit Question...?
Okay, so, I have a 2001 Firebird (I've asked about this car before...) and I was wondering, does the (base..not Monsoon) head unit have RCA plugs in the back for subs, or would I just be better off to clip a speaker wire in the rear speaker and tap that to my amp?
Also, if it does, can someone give me some schematics on, or tell me how to remove the head unit from the Firebird?
Thanks...
2 AnswersPontiac1 decade agoQuestion on subwoofer wiring...?
Now, I'm guessing I can do this, but I was sitting here and wondering...if I wire up an 800 watt amp with a 1400 watt max wiring system, too much wattage won't result, and thus fry the amp, will it? I'm guessing the resistors in the amp would lower the wattage, but I was curious... So all-in-all, would it be best to return the wire kit and buy a lower wattage one? Thanks in advance.
3 AnswersCar Audio1 decade agoHow much of a pain would it be...?
...to put the engine from a '91 Corvette (V8 obviously) into an '01 Firebird (V6) and vice-versa? The Corvette I have is trashed, but the engine's still great, and I'd rather not see it go to waste. So, I figured I'd attempt to put it in the newer car and save it. How much of a pain in the *ss would it be to do this? I figured it shouldn't be too bad since both are GM cars and probably have similar parts and comparment structures...
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoOzone as a health benefit?
I've heard quite a few different things about ozone. I use an ozone machine to clean the inside of my car frequently, and I've heard from some that it's bad to inhale the ozone put off by the machines.
However, I've also heard from others that it's beneficial, and can be healthful to our bodies (and help to cure colds, etc...). I was wondering what the truth was...?
2 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade ago6x9 speakrs in Firebird?
I'm not sure, but...
I replaced the front speakers in my '01 Firebird today, and noticed that there was a plastic mounting bracket in the door panels that could be removed in order to make room for bigger speakers. Are the speakers in the back the same way so that I could mount 6x9's or so in there?
Also, while we're on the subject, and since I guess I should've asked this sooner...
How do you GET to the speakers on the rear panels in the Firebird?
2 AnswersPontiac1 decade agoSpeaker size for 2001 Firebird?
Does anyone know what the size is for front and rear? I don't want to pull my door panels off and everything until I'm sure. I'm guessing 6.5" in the front and 6x8 (Thanks GM...) or 6x9 in the rear. I just haven't found any websites that'll let me know for sure.
