I have $40 and want to invest it in the stock market online?
I have $40 in a paypal account and want to give online investing a shot. I have a feeling that now is a good time given how volatile everything is, and I do not want to invest more than that until I have a firm understanding and feel for what I am doing. What site do I go to, or how do I otherwise undertake this task and get some hands on experience? Is there any other guide or resource available to people in my position?
Thanks!
8 AnswersInvesting1 decade agoCan anyone help with replacing clutch slave cylinder?
Hi, I got a 1993 civic HB with VX transmission and D15B7 engine, and all was running great until this morning, I start my car and the bite point is right on the floor. I check the clutch resevoir and it's empty. So I top it up, and the pedal feels kinda weird for a bit (I think it's air in the lines), but the bite has returned to normal half way up the pedal.
So here's my questions to you guys:
Which do I need to replace? Slave or master cylinder?
Can I get away with just replacing an o-ring or two?
Could it be a leak in the plumbing between the master and slave?
AND
When I replace the slave, I read on some other forums that I have to be careful when removing the slave so I don't 'drop the clutch arm inside the transmission' or I'd have to unbolt the whole transmission - which is beyond my mechanical skill level :) So do I need to worry about this?
Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance! I want to keep my lil' blue civic kicking butt for the next decade or two.
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoball python bleeding into water dish?
My ball python recently had and recovered from a mouth infection. He was treated with antibiotics and had seemed to make a full recovery. The night before this happened, I had him out and he slithered around normally and seemed quite happy. I put him back in the cage, and in the morning, his water dish was red with blood! I immediately took him out and checked for cuts and there were none, checked around the tailvent for signs of blood, didn't see any, and opened his mouth and checked for any visible signs and there were none. I also checked that his bedding was not releasing a red color into the water for the one or two pieces that fell in.
Does anyone with reptile experience have any clues on this? Should I be concerned?
1 AnswerReptiles1 decade agoHow do you fix a helical scanning head on an 8mm camcorder?
I've got a camcorder that I need to work for the next 3 hours to transfer some video tape to dvd.
The head got dirty, and the picture skewed horizontally at the top of the picture.
I tried to clean the head with a q-tip and some makeshift alcohol (aftershave), and now it doesn't work worth a damn.
Is there any way to fix it?
1 AnswerCamcorders1 decade agoAir bag light in a 93 civic.?
For no apparent reason the airbag light in my 93 civic stays on for several seconds longer than it used to, and the little beeper thing goes on for longer now, giving six beeps. It does go off after that, but this just started very suddenly after work today. Should I be concerned?
4 AnswersHonda1 decade agoHow do you inspire a lazy ball python to be more active?
Is taking him out the only way? Are there any cage accessories, e.g. large water dish to bathe in, fake plants, multiple hides that are known to make them more active.
I've already got him a larger hide and started on live food, which helped to some degree.
11 AnswersReptiles1 decade agoIs it safe to drive my civic with no bushing rubber?
My 1993 civic has no rubber left on the outer bushing of the passenger side front lower control arm. There is a small degree of play in the wheel that can be felt when braking hard as a loud clunk that you can feel through the body of the car. The metal pin is still there holding the control arm, but its surrounding rubber is missing.
I can't afford to get this replaced (the control arm), and I don't know enough about mechanics to change it myself.
So my question is how long can I leave it? And will anything dangerous happen if that metal pin goes, like the passenger side wheel flying off on the highway?
Thanks in advance, Chris
(My more specific uncertainties regarding replacing the entire control arm myself are if I am able to get the bolts out with a basic toolkit, and how to torque bolts so that I don't snap them or under torque them, how to avoid damaging something, eg brake lines. Any advice to persuade or dissuade me from this attempt would be appreciated too!)
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhat is the best way to transport a corn snake from the UK to Canada?
My corn snake showed up after being lost for a year in my parent's back garden, in that time I have moved to Canada. I now want to get my snake transported to Canada. Does anyone know the best way to do this? Do airlines offer pet transport services, or should I go with a private company? If so, what are the details/things I should know?
