Is George Thorogood anything more than a revolving door of covers?
From the blatant covers he did, including Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love?" and Hank Williams' "Move It On Over" to derivative works such as Bad to the Bone, etc. has he done anything original worth noting?
1 AnswerRock and Pop1 decade agoWhat on earth could possibly qualify TI to be the Greatest rapper of all time?
Honest, well thought out, answers.
And please, stick to his abilities as a rapper
10 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoWayne has skills, occasionally?
Or did Darkman write this?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qn_0dKC8osk
This isn't Wayne's normal style.
That's what I like about Darkman, he practically forces rappers to come with their best.
But, yea. . . as someone who can't stand Wayne, I gotta give him props on this verse.
The question is: How is it that Weezy Fans try to gain acceptance among the Hardcore Hip-Hop community with tracks like Fireman or whatever when he has at least one track that's similar to what Wu heads listen to?
9 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoWhy do people think that dead people would still rhyme as well as they did before they died?
All rappers decline, with the exception, so far, of Percee P and Kool G Rap.
RHH2: Who's still improving as an MC (the longer the career, the better)

6 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoWhen are we going to be able to change our minds about a rating we give?
Let's say an answer starts out badly, but it turns out that it's just sarcasm, why shouldn't I get to give the answer a thumbs up instead. Or if answer WAS bad, but then edited and became good?

What movie had the best Hip-Hop Soundtrack
6 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoProve me wrong. Lil Wayne has 1 good song and 1 good verse besides?
His good song is "I Feel Like Dyin", Which ain't great, but at least uses metaphor, but I have no idea where the good verse came from, but I'm willing to bump the count to 2 good songs if it comes up, but definitely not 3. I DO remember it was ALSO overly simplistic.
My criteria for good song is purely based on lyrics BTW. It doesn't have to be great, but it DOES have to be good.
12 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoWho's your favorite rapper, and who would he/she say is the best rapper?
18 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoG Rap or Percee P (and twenty characters)?
Which one is better.
And more importantly, why?
5 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoSongs like #1 With a Bullet?
I'm lookin for songs that are lyrically like #1 With a Bullet.
2 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoBUY or SELL: Rakim would've been better in a group like HRSMN than he was on The Seventh Seal?
The reasons are severalfold.
1stly, he didn't do too well in The Seventh Seal. He was better than most, but he wasn't Rakim.
2ndly, look at what being in La Coka Nostra did to Everlast. He went from HOP-type lyrics to what he's doing today
3rdly, he's worked well with Canibus, and he's been compared to Priest
2 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoBuy or Sell: Kool G Rap did it before BIG and did it better?
Kool G Rap had a similar style before BIG even came out, and even did it better.
10 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoAnyone notice that the decline in hardcore rap seems to coincide with the "death" of Hip-Hop in both cases?
Both around '95 and recently
5 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoHow would the Juice Crew fare, in terms of popularity, if they debuted today with much of the same material?
I mean, they had Kane, Roxanne Shante, AND Kool G Rap with a strong connection to Eric B and Rakim. Plus, Marley IS a beast with the beats.
