The motherboard of my girlfriend PC, an Intel D945P stopped working. Its usually used by his mother to check mail and office stuff so there is no need of an upgrade, so where are looking for a replace for the Motherboard.

The Processor is Pentium D 805 and the Ram is 1 Gb 533 MHz (2x 512MB).

Seems like 533 MHz supported motherboards are hard to find these days (even with new-egg).

The store where I bought the original parts says I should use a Gigabyte GA-P45 but I think they re trying to sell me an expensive model.

Can anyone tell what models can I find in Intel, Gigabyte, Elite group ECS or other manufacturers?

I bought an HP laptop with Vista Business installed. I think Vista is to slow so I want to install Win XP, but when I put the install disk, it says that there isnt a hdd.

Is this a HP thing or a Vista thing?

Im working in some pdf files that dont allow me to copy and paste text (so I have to type the damn thing). I also want to extract the pages that i need and discard the rest.

I do this with Adobe Acrobat Pro, but my company gave me a laptop and I dont have an administrator account, and I need administrator privileges to install adobe acrobat pro...

Is there a program a can replace Acrobat Pro, or that at least, one that allows me to cancel the "no copy & paste" option?

I used Linux and KDE for 1 year and got hooked with Akregator, a news feed reader that downloads the new posts to your PC, so even if the site dissapears you keep the posts in your PC.

It worked like Outlook, a new post is posted, Akregator checks the sites you add every X minutes, finds the new post and downloads it to your PC, your tray blips indicating a new post is available.

Akregator is for KDE only so, and most news readers I know are web based. Do you know of a feed reader that works this way?

My gf has been usually very possesive, but lately she has been kinda indifferent. I was getting bored of that, so I planned not to visit her yesterday (I have a demanding job so i can only see her on weekends and tuesdays)

She called me to ask if i was going to visit her. She has been complaining that I go out too late and I stay only a couple of hours, so i said, that i wouldnt see her.

My job ended earlier so i called her but her sister told me she had gone to the mall, so i decided to go home. She called me like 30 minutes after that, asking if i would go, so i did. I had dinner there but after that she said that she had to visit her cousin cause she's really sick.

I asked whys is that if she was planning to visit her, later she complains that we see just a couple of hours

I went home, and in the phone that night, she says that she needs some space!!! She complains that we dont see enough and now she says that she needs some space...Whats her problem.?? Hell, ILL GIVE HER SPACE!

My PC is a Pentium 3 with 512 RAM and a Intel 815EP Motherboard, which is AGP 4X (my video card is a Geforce 2 GTS 32MB). Can I use a AGP8x 128/256 MB with that PC?

My gf is always complaining that Im not with her enought.

I go to her house 1 day in the midweek, cause I have a job from 9:30 am to 7:30-8pm (my boss is a workaholic). so I get to her home around 8:30 and I stay till 10pm cause it takes 1 hour to return to my home.

fridays I get to her house around same time, but i stay till 1-2am.

On saturday I stay there from 5-5:30pm to 1-2-am and and sunday I same "arrival time" but i leave around 10pm.

My gf says that her cousin's boyfriends visit their cousins everyday.

One is a loser that is afraid to say no to her gf and the other is not in good relations with his family so he prefers to stay out of his house.

Im a right? should i visit her or what i do is enough?

I hardly see my family on weekends and i get really tired from work, and is a long way back home.

The Pentium D 820 Processor cost less that Pentium D 920. The 820 has a 2x1MB cache and the 920 has a 2x2MB cache. I think 920 is smaller but besides those differences... is there another reason?

maybe temperature or something...

I ll use the PC mainly for Internet, Office, and some games but nothing really big, and i dont want to spend my money in some advantages i wont use so ...

is ok to buy the 820 or is there a problem with those i should be aware of?

I installed windows xp and then some updates and now my windows xp session doesnt login automatically. It stops in the welcome screen and I have to click on my session.

So how do avoid this and login automatically?

I had sex with my gf and just some seconds before I came, the condom broke, I felt my penis inside without protection so I took it out and I think I came outside and put my hand to protect. There was some sperm in the sheets and in my hand, but its a possibility some sperm went inside.

She was in the 9th day after the beggining of her period and I understand U can have unprotected sex the first 10 days.

Is there a chance of her getting pregnant?

She found a directory with all the mails of my ex-gf.

I know its a bad idea to let her see my mail, but she asked for it. If I say no, she could think im cheating on her. So she found those mails and she's mad cause after more than 1 year i keep'em, and thinks still feel something about my ex.

I keep them as a memory of what happened, and what i learned from a past experience and last but no least, because some day Ill take revenge of my ex, bc of the way she broke up w/me, and I need something to remind me of that.

(She still has letters from his ex. I asked about it and she said that she didnt care about those letters and if she would like to go back with i him, she could already done it. Why cant I say the same?)

I learned some Basic when I was 10. Now Im reading some books on C#. Should I stay in that? Which language is the best as the first to learn? Maybe Java? Some say Delphi...WHICH ONE!?
