is that standard protocol?

im finishing up my 2nd year of med school

my whole hard drive was wiped out from some viruses except the remaining files not in a folder

all the folders are gone

BUT

when i scan the drive, all of the preexisting stuf shows up

and the properties of the drive show that it is almost full, the way it was before viruses came

my prob is i dont know how to recover what is still there

even if i scan, scanning cant recover

the computer tells me that the data is still there, but i cant access it

i live in china

and i think i have pink eye now

my lower eyelid is a little swollen

and my eye is bloodshot red

but my problem is i dont know how to say it in chinese

can anyone help

My HP laptop had a centrino duo processor and 2 gb RAM

it would usually get warmer than normal and then one day it crashed

that might be a different story but..

since i gave it to the repair shop, im guessing they will restore it with the windows vista it already came with

I want to know how i can downgrade to Windows XP

since it might be the processor and the RAM clashing which could be the problem

plus i have some software that i use that work only with XP

how can i go about doing this

and is it ok for a centrino duo and a 2gb RAM to be be together?
