  • When you get your first prescription eye glasses, should you be able to see clearly with them?

When my glasses came in and I tried them on, I couldn't see out of them, everything was a blurr. The Optometrist said it would take a week or so for my eyes to adjust. I've never heard of such a thing. Shouldn't I be able to see out of them the day I pick them up?

  • Working near a Laserjet Printer?

I have been working about 8 feet away from a laserjet printer in an office that is aprox. 10X12 for several years. There is a smell in my office after the printer is used and every day my eyes and nose burn and I get a nasty taste in my mouth that burns the roof of my mouth and my tongue. I never have that feeling on weekends or during extended times away from the office. Do you think the laserjet is causing these issues?

  • My niece-in-law is a troublemaker!?

She has accused my in-laws of sexual and physical abuse of her and her daughter. She has taken them to court to keep her children away from them. She is my in-laws granddaughter and her children of course are their great-grandchildren. They have spent most of their retirement money on defending themselves in court and moving her from place to place. No matter what she does to them they keep welcoming her back into their lives. She has told my in-laws a story about my daughter that isn't true and they believe her. They tell us that she wouldn't lie to them. They have been to court to defend themselves against her! Should I take the statement "she wouldn't lie" and believe that her accusations in court were true? Should I believe that my in-laws are sexual abusers? I hate family drama and I've tried to reason with them but they refuse to believe my neice is lying to them about my daughter. I'm walking away from them but I feel bad because they're old and may not be here much longer.

  • Hand Washing?

I have a co worker who doesn't wash her hands after using the restroom. I don't like it when she uses my telephone or keyboard. How do I handle this without hurting her feelings?

  • Is the mechanic telling the truth?

My 1999 Nissan Altima was running rough and the oil light was coming on. I took it to a mechanic who said I needed a new motor. When he called to say the car was done he told me it was running great. When I picked up the car the "check engine" light was on. I was told to drive the car and the computer would reset itself. When I pulled on to the street my car was bucking and squeeking and wouldn't stay started. I went back and they told me that because the car hadn't been run for a few days to give it some time, they also said my gas cap was loose. I drove the car and it never got better. I took it back and the mechanic said I needed "special" spark plugs and that he would have to order them. He also replaced the fuel filter and charged me $25. That didn't help. I had it back to the shop 4 times. I took it to another shop and they had to replace the EGR valve. The mechanic who put the motor in said that was not his problem, it's mine. Did the original mechanic rip me off?
