  • Question about Obamacare?

The content and controversies aside, how is it FAIR (a term him and the left love using) that he is forcing 90% of the nation to pay so the other 10% can have health insurance? Obama said himself that 30,000,000 people in this nation don't have healthcare. In a nation of 300,000,00 that is 10%. A perfect example of re-distribution at it's worst. Take money from the masses and give to those deemed worthy. How can someone rationalize that this is fair for the whole nation?

  • Would you agree with this statement?

"If you're talking about social services, most people assume, get self rightous about and wrongfully think that most people who use the services are just lazy, poor people.

Reality is that most have underlying mental health issues, low IQ's, poor education and lack of oppourtunity as children.

You can't take someone who was abused, raised by a drunk, and not given a good education and expect them to grow up to be a lawyer. And this type of behavior is self perpetuating.

To change things, it can take generations before you see a turn around. We need to invest in our future generations, instead of looking for instant gratification like many people do." - TheMom

This was in reply to a question about what rights we should give to the poor. It just irks me because I grew up in that environment (bad education, alcoholism, single mother) and have risen and succeeded. This may sound like a rant but am curious to see who out there will take responsibility for actions and who wants to make excuses for people.
