Visiting NYC in early November for the second time. I will be there for a week. Are there any suggestions for things to see or do in or around the city that aren't easily found by searching the web? The only things I can find are the usual, Time Square, Museums, Grand Central...etc.

This is America, shouldn't it's citizens be proud to say the pledge like citizens are in other countries?

Does anyone else find this offensive to the country? I believe if parents do not want their children to say the Pledge of Allegiance then they should leave the country. If you don't like it, leave, plain and simple. When are people going to stop bowing down to the minority figure of people who want these things in this country...it has gotten out of hand.

Especially when this is a march on Washington by taxpayers...you know, those people who actually have jobs and pay taxes and who may not have been able to take the time off work to make it to the March.

Bush got boo'd at his last couple of speeches by congressmen sitting at his addresses. Obama got called a liar. These are both forms of verbal disagreement and disrespect. Why is it okay for people to boo one president but not object to the next?

I just heard here at work, someone say "I can handle the booing, it is a form of disagreement, but calling the president a liar is a complete other situation"

They are thinking of overturning the death penalty because it is, I suppose, too expensive.

Doesn't it make more sense to kill more of them faster, to get them out of the prison system? Wouldn't it be cheaper than letting them sit in prison for years?

it may be offensive to some, but out of the same breath these people can defend the right for terrorists to have their freedom. If we allow this castration of the religion in this country and continue to cater to the muslim terrorists, will we not end up in a worse predicament?

These people's own judges are afraid of making a decision that might piss off the religious leaders, and people in this country whine and complain about the ten commandments being posted outside a courthouse when they don't even have to look at it as they walk by.

What would be your thoughts if a person not liking the way you live came into your home and killed your family members. They are then caught, detained and living in prison where they belong, only to have the president let them go free to do it to another family. It's the same scenerio, just on a smaller scale. How would you feel about that?

I live in houston where all of those low life Katrina "victims" went. The majority of them anyhow. Some still linger here and there. I also went through Ike this past summer and you don't see the people of galveston and houston and others clear up the path of that thing into NY crying about the government not helping them. I would like to know exactly why that falls on Bush's lap when the local government failed to take care of it's own people? And why does this subject continue to come up...it was years ago.

Okay, I have heard how Obama didn't take the American Flag off of his plane, it "resembled" the American Flag. I have heard Obama make plays on words about things said by people he is/has associated with to make it seem as though what people heard isn't true. Tell me this....If Obama were on stage and shot a man dead in front of a crowd of 100k people, do you think that he could just turn to the crowd and tell them some made up story about how what they just saw was a figment of their imagination and people would believe him?

Obama's party has tried and continues to try to shut people up that don't support him. The secret service has shown up at a home because an Obama campaign volunteer made a false claim. Is this what we have to look forward to with Obama's big "changes"?
