What is the IRS Country Code for the USA on a 1099 form?
If an accountant knows, or someone wouldn't mind please checking what the 'Country Code' is for the United States of America on a 2013 1099-MISC form if they have already received one.
It is for a box right below the Payer's Federal Identification Number and below the payers name.
I have been search all over the IRS site and have found all codes, but the one for the USA. Sigh, the one I need.
2 AnswersUnited States8 years agoProblem with chiffon pie? I may have messed up...?
I was making a Chocolate Mandarin Chiffon Pie for my friends. (One just had surgery and requested it, and I want to make him a happy!)
Anyway, I had finished making the custard part, and ran out of time (before folding in the whipped egg whites.) so I just left it cooling in the fridge. Now it's is in the fridge and has gone hard. Is there any way to soften it up so I can fold it into the egg whites, or am I just out of luck?
It's four egg yolks, gelatine, sugar and the juice from about two pounds of Fresh Mandarins, I would hate to have to juice and zest another couple of pounds and start all over again,
Can I warm up the egg yolk/gelatine mixture so I can fold it into the whites? Or blend it (I have a vitamix) and then fold it into the whites, or am I just out of luck?
Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoWhat are some good Documentaries on Blu-ray?
I have the BBC/Discovery Channel's "Planet Earth the Complete Series, 4 disc." I like it bunches (but wish it was 1080P, as opposed to 1080i, yes there is a difference.)
What's another good ones? I'm looking for some good HD documentaries with good info and eye candy is fun. Do I already have The Blue Planet Seas of Life? (there are several ocean/water episodes - or would BPSOL be new stuff.)
PS Wish we could get the 'Walking with Dinosaurs' people to make a new HD one.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoDid you know you can restore Same Sex Marriage from your IPhone?
It sounds crazy, I know, but did you know in California that you can, from your Iphone, restore the rights for Same Sex Couples to marry?
It's a new legal tool that just came out today.
You must be over 18 and a registered California voter, and you can use the digital signature tool and instructional video at http://restoreequality2010.com/ipod.htm.

There is a petition at

Have you signed it yet? And if so, how did you find out and where?
6 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoHow are you going to celebrate when Prop 8 is repealed?
Prop 8 is a piece of discrimination injected into the California Constitution for the first time ever. It’s being used to remove rights from same sex couples.
Currently, the good people at:
Are working hard to eliminate this blight of California – so how will you celebrate when California is once again a great state and that part of the pledge ‘With Liberty and Justice for ALL.’ Will be true again.
So party? Wedding? Parade?

I have a brand new i5 computer running Windows 7x64 with and Nvidia 220 Graphincs Card, and it crashes, not just the game, but all of windows. It crashes with no warning that I have noticed, and in no pattern than I have noticed. IE Walking down the street, picking up treasure, getting gacked.
I'm pretty sure it's the Graphics card. I switched from ATI because I want to be in NVidia 3D stuff. I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to regret that decision.
It says I have the latest drivers, and I reinstalled Wow, any ideas or tips?
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games1 decade agoDid Roy and Silo, the Penguin couple, get back together?
They are the two little gay penguins from the New York Zoo, that were together for over six years (I have no idea how long that is in human years). They were such a good couple the keepers gave them an extra egg. And they raise a chick that would have mostly liked died as an egg, and their kid is named Tango. I understand some chic, named Scrappy, stole Silo away in 2005, but it was short lived. They were together for six year, and the subject of the story, "And Tango makes Three."
Are Roy and Silo back together again?

Does anyone remember this movie: It's was probably made between the 50's and the 70's. It is in colour.
The lead actress is sort of a plane girl. She goes to a special place to have a 'makeover.' It we see all sorts of things happen to her; including having her eyes dyed. In the next seen we see her holding a long filter cigarette. Now she speaks with a dramatic voice and goes on to do whatever it was she set out to do.
Does anyone remember the name of the movie?

1 AnswerHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoWhat do you think of my Frost Mage Build?
I've still got a way to go as I'm only in my 50's, but this is what I'm building towards.
I took advantage of the forced respec and changed some things, and moved in this direction.
I'm open to any comment, if you don't like it please point out why.
I originally thought 'Brain Freeze' sounded silly, but after trying it I think it's pretty cool - so I'm open to new ideas.

2 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoNew option for the people that can't vote No on 8 in California (and Florida and Arizona), can you do this?
If you can't vote note NO, then please do not vote on 8 at all.
Please read this all the way through, at least twice, before commenting.
Come to one of my same sex wedding. See two people in love dedicating their lives to one another and pledging to make the world around them better. Feel how moving their vows are. How their patents cry (sometimes) because they are so happy for their son/daughter. Their adopted kids thrilled that now the two people that love and care for them are a legal recognized family.
And at the end, everyone Celebrates! Many of my same sex couples are even more happy than my opposite sex couples because they have been oppress and wanting this for so long.
If you can't vote NO, please considering not voting on it at all. Don't let the fear in your heart lead you to an act that you will later regret and leave a broken crack on your heart. To take someone civil rights is an act all people with a conscious will regret. It has nothing to do with school, kids or churches. It's about civil rights and discrimination, and good people must always say NO to that.
So if you can't vote No, will you not vote on it at all? I know this is a challenge for some, and I appreciate and applaud you considering this option.
Who will pledge not to Vote on Prop 8?
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoDid you know Judge Judy performed a wedding ceremony for two guys?
Singer and pianist Michael Feinstein married Terrence Flannery were married by Judy Scheindlin in October.
Now, part of me says, "Hey, Judge Judy, you have your own TV show, don't take my jobs!"
But the rest of me didn't realize she was so totally cool and hip.
So did you know this? And why wasn't it in the main stream media more?
3 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoWhat's a better argument than this for legal marriage rights for everyone?
When people say, "Same sex couples have domestic partnerships, and they should be happy with that."
It's like saying, "What's wrong with being in the back of the buss? You get a better ride and view there and It still get's to the same stop."
Because, separate is not equal. It's the same love, and deserves the same rights.
10 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoCalifornians what's your Favorite Prop 8 Slogan?
Here's some of the main ones, and some I worked on myself. If you have some other good ones I'd love to read them!
"No matter how you feel about marriage, discrimination is wrong, and we must always say NO to That" Diane Feinstein
"Unfair, Unnecessary and Wrong" theme
"Prop 8 would cost California between half and one Billion Dollars - we can't afford that"
"Divisive and Discriminatory" Barak Obama
(Utah residents have donated 30 million dollars to the other side.)
"Let's keep Utah's religion out of California's Government - Vote NO on Prop 8"
"No on 8 - it should Never Happen" Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
"Intolerant, Offensive, and the law should not discriminate" Newspapers
"Let's keep California Great! Vote NO on Prop 8!"
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhat's your reason for voting No on Prop 8 (and 102 and others)?
Outside of the obvious, that Discrimination is wrong, the state of California has made and estimated $500,000,000.00 from these marriages just since June 17th of this year. By that trend it Prop 8 would COST the state ONE BILLION dollars in revenue.
Now, I know, because I perform them, that the recent wedding have been smaller affairs, because people are just ensuring they are legally wed before the election. The big lavish weddings they would have make money even more - for the facility, the wait staff, florist, musicians, etc. Everyone benefits. It is a good source of revenue in these financially tough times. It makes good since for everyone to keep it legal.
Even if the volume drops dramatically, Prop 8 would COST the state and estimated half to a BILLION DOLLARS annually. Do you really want to cut back on the Police, Fire, and schools?
No on 8 just makes good financial since.
So what's your reason?
4 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy do the Prop 8 People keep lying about this?
I marry people, and on the very rarest of occasions, I meet a couple that for whatever reason, I don't want to marry. Either, I don't think they are mature enough, don't seem right, or just plain don't like them. I can simply say no, it's really easy. I've never been threatened by a lawyer and forced to marry someone.
With their line of thinking, then there should be all these lawsuits where non-mormon couples are suing for morman temple weddings. Jew suing to get married in a catholic church because the like the scenery, etc. It's really silly.
So no, don't believe them when they say couples will sue churches for weddings - it's simply not true (and hasn't happened.)
Is that just the best they can come up with? Don't let them fool you with their lies.
Please Vote NO on Prop 8 - Let's keep California great!
