  • Does the Sony BC-CS2A AA Battery charger use direct European 240V for charging batteries?

The back of the charger has this info: IMPUT~100-240V 50/60Hz 4.8-8.5VA 3W OUTPUT --... 1.4V 400mAX2 160mAX2. The Sony net page does not even acknowledge this charger although there are many on ebay. One sale from China provides the double round prong cord for this charger so I am wondering if anyone knows if this cord that fits the charger will accept the 240V charge in Europe?

  • Has anyone recently traveled to Peru?

Tell me about touring Cuzco, Lima, Machu Picchu, Sacsayaman, Lake Titicaca, and Iquitos on the Amazon. Please tell me of any altitude breathing problems, accommodations, food, safety, possible illnesses, money and prices, etc. Would a tour be better than a group of four? Any and all information will be helpful.

  • How can I download photos from my digital camera so that they will be in image order as taken?

Each time I download images from my digital camera onto the hard drive many are out of order as when taken. I have to go back and renumber them, thereby placing them in order as taken. For example a whole week's shots are mixed within days of each other, though numbered consecutively. What am I doing wrong?

I am writing my memoirs and I am quoting quite a few songs of the fifties and sixties, practically writing half of each songs' lyrics. How or where can I get copright permission? Would I need to contact the singer, the record burner, the writer of the lyrics, the company such as Dot, Capitol, etc? I have fruitlessly searched the net. Help!

  • Do you tip waitresses at restaurants? Why? Why not?

Why is tipping customary? The restaurant industry depends on tips to supplement waitresses' salaries. One commentator on television said that tipping 15% of the meal bill is customary. However, she did not say that tipping is a VOLUNTARY bonus for quality service that should augment minimum national hourly wage. Why does the Department of Labor not require the restaurant industry to pay minimum salary, and tips remain bonuses, and not shame patrons into supplementing their employee's salaries? This industry capitalizes on its customers, and if it ever pays the minimum it should not raise its food menu by 15%. The industry has a "psyched" waitresses with tipping. Yes, waitresses should be pleased at receiving tips which should remain a rightful earning but in reflection to her quality serving performance in addition to her minimum national hourly wage. Why do we tolerate this injustice? All restaurants should be ashamed of themselves--this is outrageous. What say you?
