There are so many movies out there that don't get the recognition they deserve because of big-named, big-budgeted "blockbusters" that take up the theaters and such... I always wonder why some people snub the independent film circuit, because some of the movies are really, really good...

One that immediately comes to mind is Shattered Glass, based on true story about Stephen Glass, a young reporter, who made stories up and passed them off as true events. I think I've watched that DVD at least 20 times... it also has one of the best audio commentaries I've heard.

What are some of yours?

I'm an "over" person myself. My b/f is "under." I think we need to install another TP dispenser so we can both be satisfied (Nah, not really... it's a funny idea though.)

I actually believed for YEARS that The Great Wall of China could be seen from space... it wasn't until I discovered snopes.com in college that I found out it wasn't true! Oops....

Most people I ask have never heard of him until I say, "He wrote the book 'A Christmas Story' came out of, then I get some recognition in their faces.

Is that all he's known for nowadays? He was one of the funniest and wittiest writers I have ever read... if you haven't read his books, start.

So, we all have our own movie tastes, but there seems to always be a consensus of "good movies" by most people (e.g. - Schindler's List, Citizen Kane, Apocalypse Now). What movie do you despise that everyone else seems to love (and they can't understand why you DON'T love it)?
