  • How much restriction can be put on a parent in a parenting plan in Washington State?

My boyfriend's son was kept from him since he was about 9 months old. She raised their son thinking her new boyfriend was the dad, while taking child support from my boyfriend. He had tried a few different times over the years to make contact and was shut down every time. After her and the boyfriend split, she finally told their son he wasn't the real dad, and he wanted to know his real dad. So for the last year he has been here every weekend. The mother refuses to cut time down with her ex, she lets their son go to her ex's home more than the real dad. He has illegally signed sports waiver forms and various documents as the child's father (using the real dad's money of course), and now that my boyfriend has spoken up saying he is the dad and should be able to take on those responsibilities, including his son being with him while she is on vacation, she has freaked out calling him all kinds of names. She says the ex will always be the dad no matter what, and now she won't let him see their son at all. It's really sad, we were supposed to leave for vacation in two weeks, and now we either have to postpone until we can get into court, or go without him. I feel so bad for their son. He loves his dad so much, he is constantly loving on him when he is here. Her ex has made the child feel guilty for loving his real dad, and he isn't allowed to answer my boyfriends calls when he is with him. Their son even told us that he told him he was afraid he would love his real dad more than him now. That's a lot of guilt to put on a little boy. We believe the relationship with the ex has been detrimental to their father son relationship. Can he get it court ordered in the parenting plan to restrict contact with the ex. For some reason the mother is under the impression the courts will give her ex paternal rights over the real dad since he was there for so long.

  • I need help coming up with a formula for a function word problem asap!?

A coffee company sells it's lattes for $2.25 each, assume it's the only product it sells. They have a fixed cost of $1200 per month, and it's actual costs to produce each latte is $.95. They know when they sell their lattes for $2.25, they sell 2000 lattes a month. They experimented with raising the price to $2.75 and found that their sales dropped to 1600. Assuming the relationship between price and sales is linear, find a formula for the # of lattes they sell as a function at the price they charge. Then find a formula for their revenue as a function of the price they charge, and determine the price they should charge (rounding to the nearest five cents_) to maximize their revenue.

  • What's wrong with my fish?

I have a yellow eyed tang, a blenny, a damsel, a yellow gobbie, a royal gramma basslet, a bicolor dottyback, and a purple stripe dottyback. We also have a few turbo snails. We started noticing that our fish had some white specs on their fins, and some on their faces and bodies. Thiss is my 1st salt water aquarium, but my boyfriend has had a few and is experienced. He said he believed in was ich, so we bought some ichattack by kordon, and started treatments 2 days ago. This morning the fish didnt come out to eat, and they usually all come out of their caves as soon as i flip the light on. When they did come out, they look worse. I realized i forgot to take the carbon out of the filter & removed it right away. Then my basslet died, and we havent seen the bbicolor dottyback since we bought him 4 weeks ago ( not sure if he is still hiding or what, he was,t in the filter when we opened it up & none of our fish are big enough to eat him). Our yellow eyed tang looks pretty bad, his color is off and he is in his cave more than usual. Also, our gobie was hiding in his cave for the last week and just started coming out today. Not sure if it is something else that needs to be treated, or if the treatment will start working now that i took the carbon out of the filter. PLEASE HELP!!

  • Will my high school credits still count over 10 years later?

While in high school I completed my credit requirements to attend a four year university rather than just the graduation requirements. Unfortunately I was unable to attend right after graduation. I started at a local community college a year later, but ended up dropping out before the quarter was over due to a complicated pregnancy. I am now trying to go back to school, but I'm curious if I need to obtain an associates degree from a community college before transferring to a university for my bachelors, or do my high school credits still count as the prerequisites? I graduated in 1999.

  • Why won't my nissan altima start?

My 1993 Nissan Altima won't start. It first started about 6 weeks ago, I was running errands, and stopped to get gas, afterwards, when I went to start the car, it wouldn't, but it had power, and it wouldn't even crank. My boyfriend came and pushed it into a parking space, and a few hours later, it started right up. This happened a few more times, and everytime would start right up after a few hours. I thought maybe it was overheating, but it wasn't. Then last week, it didn't start, and hasn't started again, the only sound it makes when I try cranking it, is a click sound in the steering shaft and fuse panel area. I don't know if there's a sensor or something that could cause this problem. None of the fuses look burnt.

  • What can cause my truck to keep dying?

Our Tahoe keeps dying while in idle. The fuel filter, fuel pump, starter, and EGR valve have all been replaced and it keeps doing it. It will start just fine, but after a few minutes it just dies. The check engine light isn't on (it was before we replaced the fuel pump but is off now). Any ideas?

  • What could cause my 96 tahoe to keep dying?

We have a 96 chevy tahoe (4 wheel drive, 2 door) and it started dying out while driving or while idling. We would just put it in n and restart it, or pull over and wait a few min. and restart. Eventually that wouldn't work, and we burned the starter out too. We figured it was the fuel pump becuase when we would turn the key on we couln't hear the pump kick on. So we got a mechanic out here to replace the pump and starter, and it seemed fine, then after driving it around the block, it died, and wouldn't restart. After 5 min, it started again, but will die after awhile, sometimes starts right up, and sometimes struggles. We have already replaced the EGR valve, fuel filter, idler pully, and serpentine belt. Any ideas? The mechanic who came out and installed in the pump is stumped but called back and said it might be the anti theft device, but my bf doesn't think so Any help is greatly appreciated thanks

  • Can a married couple file for joint bankruptcy in washington state if one had already before marriage?

My husband filed for bankruptcy about two years ago, before we were married. Now we are in a situation where I'm in over my head, and we have some mutual debts, and he now has a judgement against him for an accident that happened almost immediately after his bankruptcy was discharged. We have both tried with everything we have to work with those we owe, and it seems like its impossible to make the payments everyone wants from us. In order to get my drivers license back I have to either file bankruptcy or have an agreed upon payment arrangement, which I can't seem to get. I know Washington law says you can't file chapter 13 until 4 years after filing chapter 7 (which is what he filed), so now that we are married, can we file chapter 13 or 7 jointly two years after he filed chapter 7 single?

What am I doing wrong? Also, when I turned on the new slim console, it had me set up the xbox live with another profile name or gamer tag, is there any way once I get my old profile on the slim to combine the profile with the gamer tag?

  • Can I sue for damages or loss of use of my vehicle?

I was looking to trade in my car for a truck with four wheel drive, and I explained this to a salesman at a car dealership. I explained that I needed a truck with four wheel drive to tow my boat I just bought to the places my family and I would be taking it out this summer. I had a 2003 Suzuki, and ended up trading it in for a 1996 Chevy Tahoe that the salesman showed me that would work perfectly. In the test drive I couldn't get the four wheel drive to turn over, their mechanic said it would probably just be the switch malfunctioning, that they would have to order the parts and get it fixed asap. I agreed to go on with the purchase as long as the four wheel drive would be fixed. They agreed. On the way home from the dealership with my new truck, it stalled and the check engine light came on. I immediately phoned the dealership and they told me to bring it on in. Long story short, the fourwheel drive problem ended up not being the switch, and the check engine light is still on. I purchased the truck back in June and it had been there for 3 months, the owner denied agreeing to fix it, and refused to return any of my phone calls. I filed complaints with the BBB and the Washington State Attorney Generals office. He responded saying he never agreed to fix anything and that I had cussed everyone out including his mechanic and the transmission shop down the road he apparently had looking at it. I have written statements from his mechanic and the owner of the transmission shop down the road from his saying that's not true and his mechanic saying he had witnessed him agreeing to fix the four wheel drive. I went to his shop more than a few times looking for my truck, and it wasn't there, I even showed up with the cops and he wouldn't tell me where it was. The police said they couldn't get involved in civil matters, so I would have to take him to court to get my truck back. I ended up finding it with help from his mechanic and got it back with over 3000 miles on it since I purchased it. I have the forms to file a small claims suit, and I was planning to sue for the repairs under the Implied Warranty Act and the Warranty of Fitness for a Particular Purpose, but I'm not sure if there is a way to sue for damages for all the miles he put on my truck. His mechanic also told me that he was given permission to drive my truck to pick parts up for repairs to other cars he was working on. Also, I live about an hour from work and have children so I had to pay for rides for almost 3 months while without a vehicle because I had traded my car in for the truck. Any help in this this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

  • My bayliner was vandalised and now it won't start, any suggestions?

I have a 1986 Bayliner with a Chevy 350 inboard. I had some tweeker pop my tires and key the side of it last night, and I just tried taking it out and it won't start. I haven't tried using it since i got it out of the shop a couple months ago getting everything redone and fixed, they said it worked fine then. I originally thought it was just the battery, but it's been charging for awhile now and the gauges aren't moving, it's not even making a sound when I try turning it over. I'm sure I'll have to take it in to get looked at, but I'm just hoping somebody knows of something simple it could be. Maybe something that stupid tweeker could have done to make it not start. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

  • Can I cut the locks to a gate where my boat is being kept illegally?

Long story short, we had some issues with the bank account this month, and our rent check bounced. Our landlord didn't tell us about this happening until the 22nd, and we told him we would get on it and figure out what happened, at the very least, we would use our tips over the weekend to pay up. In our statement for rent, we pay $60 extra for storage for a storage area in our rv/mobile park thats locked where we park our boat. We work graveyard, and 3 days after we initially heard of the bounced check, we awoke early to a threatening voicemail from the landlord saying he was going to get his money right now one way or another. Nobody likes to be threatened, and really doesn't solve anything, so of course an argument over the phone followed, and within minutes, he was pounding on our rv's door, and after serving us with a 5 day pay or vacate (which was dated 3 days earlier) and then proceeded to slam our door shut as he was leaving. We decided to use the money we had to pay our rent and storage to get a new space, because we obviously couldn't live here under these kind of conditions. We delivered a letter saying we were accepting his notice to vacate, and noted the difference in the date we were actually served and the date on the notice, and that we would pay the amount owed on our next payday, in 3 weeks from now. So the next day we go to the other side of the park to get the boat and he has changed the locks, which is illegal. We are not denying we owe the money, and wish terribly this incident didn't occur. We have been here for 8 months and have never been late or broken any rules, and were more than willing to get this worked out as soon as possible before the threats started occuring. I later found out, he wasn't even allowed to come onto the lot without permission or 24 hour notice that something on the lot needed to be inspected. We called the police and the lady that answered said they don't come out for civil matters and what he was doing was illegal and to notify him he could be sued for the entire balance of the boat. And federally we aren't even considered late on the rent until 30 days. We told him what she told us to say, and he said bring it on, lets see if your boats running by the time we go through court. So we called the cops again and they showed up, but said even though its illegal for him to lock us out, he can't get involved. So my question is, if the cops can't stop him from keeping the fence locked, can we get into trouble for cutting the lock and getting our boat?

  • How can I get my boat back legally without going to court?

I live in Washington state and had a disput with my landlord of my mobile/rv park. Words were exchanged and I was served with a 5 day pay or vacate notice, so long story short, I'm moving and made arrangements to pay the balance owed. Today I went to the storage area a pay extra monthly for and the locks were changes and my new boat is in there. When I confronted the manager about this he said I would not be given access to my boat until they were paid, which is illegal in this state. I called the cops because they threatened to damage my boat if I took them to court and the cops said it's a civil matter so they can't do anything. But they did acknoledge and notify the manager that what he was doing was illegal. So my question is how do I get my boat out legally if the cops won't help, and I have a feeling that they are trying to get me to leave without it so they can claim I abandoned it and they can have it towed.

  • Just bought a sony dcr-hc52 for $130, is it worth it?

I have been looking for a good deal on a digital video camera and this is what I ended up with. I'm just wondering if this is worth the money, or should I take it back and invest in something newer.

  • How do you know if you have a broken rib, or cracked chest plate?

My 7 year old was attempting to do a flip on his trampoline and landed wrong causing his chin to hit his chest. It knocked the wind out him, and he was fine after a few minutes of needing his mommy of course. The next day he said that it hurt his chest to jump, laugh, or run fast. I figured he probably just had a bruised bone on his chest, because I have had the same thing before, and it felt just as he explained. Then today, he said while he was jumping onto my bed he heard a cracking sound on his chest. I'm just wondering if this could be something more serious than just bruising, and if anyone knows if this is something that needs to be looked at by a doctor. I have always been too worried about everything in the past, and have taken him in for just about anything because I'm always paranoid that things are more serious than they are, and now that I don't have insurance for either of us, I don't want to waist a couple thousand dollars if it's nothing, but at the same time, I don't want to be a negligent or bad mother if it could be something serious. I would have already taken him I just didn't think that his own chin could do that much damage to him.
